Thank you but in my case I had read that repines elsewhere and tried that several times to no avail. It isn’t working in my case even though I’ve downloaded WP 3 times, did a manual install at least 6 times, all plugins are disabled etc. Doesn’t work. any other ideas?
I’ve contacted my host about upgrading my php in case that’s the problem. Not sure what else to do.
Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem. Reinstalling WP doesn’t help nor does any of the other things I’ve read here. I need to get back in!

In reply to: Can't get into Dashboard!I am having the same issue, and re-uploading new includes and admin did not help. This ocurred after trying the auto-update to the current WP if that helps. The site is fine but I cannot access the dashboard.

In reply to: Automatic Upgrade Not workingI am having this exact same problem on only one of my sites (which are all hosted the same place and haven’t done anything different to any of them). Would love to know a solution if anyone has one!

In reply to: I’m suddenly getting 404s on all wp posts.I am experiencing the same problem. This has just suddenly occurred in the last couple of days. How can I fix this?
https://www.mybusinesspresence.com/blog/ At least the last 2 recent posts are coming up 404, I haven’t checked the rest. THANKSForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: How to backup my database correctly?I too have this question but I exported the xml file and when I went to go import it, I got this error:
The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.
How can this be? I am simply uploading the same file I downloaded 5 minutes before. I’ve had trouble with my blog so I was backing up before uninstalling WP in my cpanel and then reinstalling. Now I am stuck without being able to import back my xml file? Can I do it via FTP instead and if so where does it go?
Thanks!

In reply to: Ack! Main page post stuffed into middle column??Thanks, it was originally opened in TextEdit which is basically wordpad for Macs so it was plain text, I simply pasted it into Word to see if that made a difference. However, now that I think about it, it was from an article I wrote in 1998 and was originally in AOL or something I am sure. I wondered if there’s something funky hidden in there.
Nonetheless after reading this reply, I deleted it and then retyped it all right into the WP editor, and it looked FINE in the preview (just as always – is that weird or what, fine in the preview but not when published?) and sure enough it STILL ended up in the center column. What in the world could be going on? This is very frustrating. Sigh.

In reply to: Ack! Main page post stuffed into middle column??Oh wow this is so weird. I just deleted it and then posted it again, same thing. Then I deleted it and posted a “test” post – the test post came through perfectly! So then I copy/pasted the post into Word first thinking maybe there’s a weird thing going on with my type or something, and it’s back to being stuck in the center column. Could it be something going on in my copy/pasting? I had it in TextEdit and also Word, same thing both times. I guess I can just manually type it in and that should work since the test did? What would make copy/pasting it do that? I’ve done it before fine…? Strange!!

In reply to: Showing it all?? Too long! Thanks, that did work for getting it to only show one post, but not for showing an excerpt or summary on the blog main page itself. Any other ideas?
Also is there any kind of plugin or setting people can use to have a post open up in its own window for making it more printer-friendly? That sure would be handy.
