    Just wanted to give you an update, I had a suspicion that revolution slider was slowing down my site, I asked about it in another forum and was given this link to a comparison of sliders: https://blog.wp-rocket.me/fastest-wordpress-image-slider-plugin/ I took the advice and installed meta slider, kept the settings the same with autoptimize plus added: Also aggregate inline CSS in the HTML and my score on page speed for desktop is 97 and 60 for mobile. Those have been awesome scores, and even just loading it up is a lot faster when I launch. Really really happy, thanks for all your help! Just wanted to let you know ??

    I just did ?? and re installed autoptimize. My desktop score is 90 which is awesome!!! but my mobile score still is at a 57. Does this plugin help prioritize visible content? Or would you like me to start a new thread and ask this question?

    Oh. My. God…… Yes, I found it!!!!! And removed it and now its not coming up in my test and my site is loading a lot faster!!!! I’m going to re install autoptimize and my rev slider. Thank you so so much! This had nothing to do with the plugin, but you took the time to help me. I really really appreciate that, thank you!

    Thank you so much for getting back to me! I didn’t realize I had a background image. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to get rid of it … My site is based on the Avada theme. I had to import demo content, and then when I got it looking the way I wanted it I deleted everything I didn’t need. I wonder if its somehow linked to a deleted file? I’m not sure, so I uninstalled and deleted revolution slider. I ran the test and it was still linked to autoptimize. So I uninstalled and deleted it too. Hoping to somehow break that tie? (sorry for the lack of technical terms, still learning) I just ran the test and it is still coming up

    I checked with my theme developer and they said:
    The problem there is that the image uploaded either by the plugin or on twitter is smaller than needed. You need to make sure the image is 800x350px, unfortunately since this is pulled in by a plugin, the theme can’t intervene.

    How can I change the settings on this? I’m not really sure.

    OH MY GOODNESS!!!!
    MarkRH you are a godsend!!!! I’ve been racking my brain for the last 5hrs, clearing everything to no avail! I removed the lines you suggested and poom! I was back in my site!!! I locked myself out somehow and had my IP adress blocked. I whitelisted my IP and everything is back to normal. THANK YOU so much for your help!!!! Truly Truly appreciate it ??

    I checked out .htaccess file. Its weird because it was modified today. Around 4:30 which was about when everything starting going weird and I got this error. This is the first thing listed:
    # BEGIN iThemes Security
    #Quick ban IP. Will be updated on next formal rules save.
    SetEnvIF REMOTE_ADDR “^108\.181\.117\.121$” DenyAccess
    SetEnvIF X-FORWARDED-FOR “^108\.181\.117\.121$” DenyAccess
    SetEnvIF X-CLUSTER-CLIENT-IP “^108\.181\.117\.121$” DenyAccess
    order allow,deny
    deny from env=DenyAccess
    deny from 108.181.117.121
    allow from all
    # BEGIN Hide Backend

    RewriteRule ^(/)?wplogin/?$ /wp-login.php [QSA,L]

    # END Hide Backend

    </files>
    <files install.php>
    Order allow,deny

    </files>
    <files wp-config.php>
    Order allow,deny
    Deny from all
    </files>

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On

    RewriteRule !^wp-includes/ – [S=3]

    # Rules to prevent php execution in uploads
    RewriteRule ^(.*)/uploads/(.*).php(.?) – [F]
    </IfModule>
    # END Tweaks
    # END iThemes Security

    I’m not very familiar with this kind of code. I know its not right, but I’m not sure what to tweak or get rid of. I really think this could be the source of the problem
    Any thoughts :D?

    ok thanks Tara! Will do

    Hi there! I’m also having the same issue. My desktop, laptop, smartphone, safari, firefox, all say 403 forbidden when I go to the address. This happened after I tried to login. I contacted my host and they were able to access my site and login with no problem. I started thinking, and turned off the wifi on my smartphone and accessed my site no problem. I’ve cleared the cache, tried to reset safari tried to clear my dns cache but I’m still getting that error. Any help would be great appreciated!

    Ps. I just upgraded wordpress a few days too?

    Hi Again

    I thought I’d delete the plugin and do a re install but its still stacking the tabs on top of each other. I even removed it from the left hand side bar, and only place it on the right sidebar which is the typical width of a sidebar. No luck ??
    Not sure what else to try. Not really familiar with css, so I don’t want to go in and start messing with that, unless I know exactly what and where to place.

    Any thoughts :)?

    Hi there! I was having the same issue, and had a notification to configure my W3 Total Cache. The same fix you were mentioning above to Tabrildur. Where can i get a list of “User agent list for configuring cache plugins“? Its only avail to Pro members. I’m using the free version

    Thanks in advance ??

    https://www.fumblingfitness.com
    I realize the column I have the login form is narrow, but in my category pages the width is wide, and its still displaying stacked on top of each other. I looked at the css and I didn’t find the settings you had mentioned above. Any thoughts? it’d be really appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Iana

    Thank you so much ilvez!
