First, uncheck the Hide/Mask link option. It frequently causes conflicts with a lot of themes and servers.

Second check if shortcode is correct, the ID you use for the download. The correct shortcode should be: [email-download download_id=”xxx” contact_form_id=”xxx”]

have you checked advanced settings in the plugin?

i have the settings only in german:
URL Ver?nderungsmodus
Query-Modus (?lang=de)
Verzeichnis-Modus (Standard, fügt /de/ vorne an die URL)
Domain-Modus (z.B. https://de.deineseite.de)
