In reply to: [Linkbuildr] i18n issueHi Laurent!
Thank you for translating the plugin!
I apologize for the any misused i18n tags you may find, and will get this one resolved for you by early next week.
Do you know of a preferred method for handling something like this situation? I’m assuming the issue is that you’re translating “contact” but contextually can’t translate “New” or “Edit”?
Again I apologize if I’m missing the issue, just trying to understand.
I see ‘New’ and ‘Edit’ in there not through i18n tags, would adding those in resolve this?
ie –
> New -> Ajouter un
> Edit -> Modifier leor does it need to be handled without the substitution?
I also see this is used in two different places, and will update both accordingly once it’s clear how to best help you be able to do this.
Thank you again!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Deleting Site ContactsHi @hollywoodonlocation!
I just ran through and tested upgrading from v1.1 to v1.3 and I got the update notification and updated through the admin without any issue.I’m not sure if you have anything specific in your setup that would cause this to be handled differently. The features you asked about are in the newer version (v1.3) if you have any issues with manually upgrading let me know. I’ve run through the manual upgrade myself more times than the auto upgrade, and I know it will work fine from the Linkbuildr side.

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Deleting Site ContactsI don’t know why it’s not showing that there is an update, but version 1.3 is the current version. I will go over the repo and try to see why you aren’t being prompted for an update, but you should be able to manually update to the most recent version and get all the features I referred to.
If you have any issues with that let me know, and I’ll see what I can do. If I find anything that could cause you not to be prompted to upgrade, I’ll resolve it and also post that here, then you should be able to upgrade as you normally would through the WP Admin.
Thank you again!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Deleting Site ContactsHi @hollywoodonlocation!
Are you on the most recent version of Linkbuildr?
In the most recent update I added a block list of sites that would not cause notification, which by default includes your site, and a lot of major sites including youtube and apple. It also adds the option to turn on/off the notification completely and a bulk importer for site contacts from CSV file.
If you have the most recent version and are still experiencing these issues, please let me know and I will help troubleshoot/resolve that.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Do we need to include www or https url prefix separatelyAs long as you’re on the most recent version of Linkbuildr it will handle the url’s based on the domain, and http vs https will not make a difference.
It will pick up https://www.bizbash.com vs. bizbash.com as separate domains though.
Hi @willcurran!
That error message appears after the file upload checks for the mime type of the uploaded file and is looking for the mime type of “text/csv”.You can check the mime type of the file you’re trying to upload here:
https://htmlstrip.com/mime-file-type-checker
There is also a list of mime types on that page. The file extensions should be .csv, depending on the spreadsheet application you are creating/editing the file in, there are various ways to save a .csv from a spreadsheet, but you can usually only save 1 sheet from a spreadsheet as a .csv.
In the event that you checked the file on the above website and it’s mime type is “text/csv” and it has the file extensions of .csv, but you are still experiencing this issue, I would ask that you pass along the file and I will investigate further.
Thank you!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Help “Item Not Found”Hey Clay!
I just pushed an update for Linkbuildr that should resolve the anchor links issue you are experiencing. It also adds an Ignored Domains list, so Linkbuildr won’t prompt you to create contacts for domains you don’t want to reach out to. The Ignored Domains list starts off populated with the 100 largest websites in the world.
Let me know what you think and if this update resolves your issue! XD

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Help “Item Not Found”Hey Clay!
You’re dead on with the internal anchor links. That is not how Linkbuildr should be handling those at all >.<.I’m going to remedy this. I’m not sure if I’ll be putting out a quick fix for you, or just changing around the Road Map as some of the features we have planned would most likely remove this issue as well. It will depend on if I can implement the features about as quickly as a patch fix.
I will keep you posted and most likely will have an update for you soon!
Thank you for your patience and help with this issue :-).

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Help “Item Not Found”Hi Clay!
I’ve not seen that error before, are you using the Block (Gutenberg) Editor or the Classic Editor?
I tried to reproduce this locally, and am not sure if I was able to see the issue you’re experiencing.
If you’re still experiencing this issue, do you see the domain from the link you’re having issues adding contact details for in the Linkbuildr->Contacts admin page? Once you save a post, Linkbuildr should be adding a contact for each domain linked to, but all of the data besides the domain should be blank.
Let me know, and I will continue to troubleshoot this ??
Thank you for your patience, and apologies for the delayed reply,

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Confirmation For Sent Emails?Ooo, almost forgot, I did some testing on when it will send the emails in order to get the notification working, and you don’t need to change status of the post in order to trigger emails for historic posts. Simply updating them without a Status change will also work.
And domain ignore list is high on my priorities for this project, I don’t want the notifications to be annoying, so making it easy to only get them when you would want them is a priority!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Confirmation For Sent Emails?@hollywoodonlocation just pushed out an updated version of Linkbuildr, it should now have a notification in the Block Editor when it sends an email, and also in Classic Editor (although slightly different).
I’m going to be keeping the concept of a log of all emails sent in mind moving forward, and you’ll probably see it in an update to Linkbuildr in the not too distant future XD.
Thanks again for your feedback!

In reply to: [Linkbuildr] Not GDPR compliantHi @bonaldi,
We support GDPR compliance, I’m not following how Linkbuildr would be involved in any form of Opt-In compliance as it does not have any user facing form, and does not collect any user data. The data being entered into Linkbuildr is directly from the site admin, and it would be their obligation to have obtained consent in collecting the data.
The explanation of GDPR Opt-In I’m basing that understanding on.Linkbuildr has built in Unsubscribe functionality that, if you are finding to not meet GDPR regulations, I am happy to look into updating it. Once un-subscribed Linkbuildr will no longer email the email address that unsubscribed, although we do not claim to have the ability to affect any other source of emails that the site or site admin may be sending from.
If there are additional issues you’ve found with Linkbuildr and GDPR compliance, can you share them with me so I can address them? As we do want to support GDPR compliance,
Regards,
