In reply to: [WOW Slider] "Wrong .zip file." any slider update failedsendet out – and thanks for your fast reaction
– respect, my dear, respect!… and to all other readers:
I think I had to revise my speech from the first paragraph above! My harsh judgment on these “simple solutions” (in sense of: “large complex things — greatly simplified”) will be punished by such dedicated and motivated manufacturers as presumptuous and arrogant.
In this case (and at this plug-in – with those manufacturer)
is probably an apology attached:
Sorry – I could not know that I promptly proven otherwise;-)Because it had to be simply RIGHT and should be FAIR!
i had followed these thread and agree with @sbailey4
Sorry guess have to wait for a developer to try and assist.
Sorry too ??

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] Does not work with 3.8I think it would be an acceptable Solution just simply switch off the Display of error messages! isn’t it?!
Is there any other solution available or an Update at the horizon viewable?
ps.:
Sorry for my lousy english ??could you have a short look into your tmp-Directory? I think you will found a started frozen ZIP Archiv at a integer Filzesize by 30MB or Sizes like this.
I’m also in trouble with the same effect and figured out that STRATO had a filesize-limitation at 30MB where the plugin freezed if it reached.
Are you hosted at STRATO?

In reply to: [SI CAPTCHA Anti-Spam] How to call a captcha on a custom page ?one of some good questions ??
I like to use a different Login Menu and got the same trouble – any trial to login over this slider menu are failed by a wrong caption!
There are also some unclosed HTML-Tags where i got some mystery effects as i like to load a direct link like:
[domain.com]/wp-admin/login.php
Such a direct load of this address will starts with some HTML like this:
me="rememberme" id="rememberme" type="checkbox" checked="checked" value="forever" />
For the moment, i hadn’t enough time to get a closer look and solve it, but i notified this Question and will also wait, if there anyone will answer.
Good luck and all the best from Germany
which also means that I should apologize for my lousy English ??Yours…
FCRps.:
Nope – I’m not the Developer or had something to do with.
Just to go sure – if it’s sound like ??This seems to be a major problem if we used the (in April’2013 still actually) Download-Version from WordPress PlugIn Directory – because those
-Entitie are killed a lot of Shortcodes if there are protected spaces between the options.I’d got the same trouble and after an manually Update into Michal’s latest DEV version it was fixed.
But i’m afraid i didn’t understand that in the right way?!
Michals answer where 11 month old (today as wrote this), my normal PlugIn-Download via WP-Directory are just a couple of days ago and the diff. Timestamps into DEV-Version are just stamped between Dec 2012 into Feb 2013 – what the h… ??
Maybe i’d made some mistakes by my own changes and killed them too by this Update into Michals DEV-Version?
Anyway ??
Michals DEV-Link solved the effect and i recommend it, if anyone got the same trouble[Solved]
… after Update ??Was worth a try ??
Hi Henk Barreveld,
After you hit ‘submit’, the spinning arrows come up beside the submit button and stay there indefinitely.
Did you get a closer look at your senders address? There are a lot providers, who changed in the last days and weeks, that php-sendmail no longer worked with other eMail Addresses then your own.
Try to change (at mail-section in your form) your “from” field into an valid email address from this domain where your WP are runnig under.
i hope it will works ??
I didn’t got those trouble, but i’m still at Version 3.1 ??
But by the way: i hate this lousy readable CAPTCHA stuff and didn’t understand why the script aren’t simply check the time between load and send – i.m.h.o. it is enough protection-potential in there to figured out what messages are from Bots (because the full-fill all fields in milliseconds)?!
But until your captcha didn’t work, why you are not working with the quiz-feature and define your own questions like this:
<h2>Bot protection</h2> <p class="secure">please calculate or answer those simple questions - just to go sure that a human sender wrotes:</p><p class="quiz">[quiz random-capital-quiz 3/ id:qatest "2+3 are |5" "3 times a 3 results |9" "17 minus 8 should be ... |12" "how often is 1 in 3 |3" "4 x 25 is |100" "how many 5 found in 20 |4" "6 Sisters playing with 3 neighbors. How many children play |9" "half of 100 Meters are |50" "how many drivers a bike can have |1" "radical of 9 is |3" ]<div class="knopf">[submit "Send"]</div>
… and place it before (or better instead of) sour Send-Button and after your last input field.
Just as an nice hint how to handle it in a fast and small manner

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] [Plugin: Contact Form 7] Custom css in headerInteresting question!
Based on original Contactform7, i think it’s only work by an element-style like this:
<p style="width:180px;height:20px;margin:0px;border-style:solid;border-width:2px;border-color:#f29e9b;padding:1px;position:relative;top:0px;left:20px;">[text* your-name class:textfield watermark "Your Name"]</p>
Another way is maybe via PHP’s include and some insertations at the /plugins -Folder in File /contact-form-7/modules/special-mail-tags.php instead of Line 67 ff as shows now this:
elseif ( '_post_author_email' == $name ) $output = $user->user_email;
…into this…
elseif ( '_post_author_email' == $name ) // add here your css into $output $output = $user->user_email;
or something like this
– just as a short, unproofed idea and answered “by the way” ??
