In your shortcode [birdsfolio cat=”slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display”]
did you replace slug_of_the_portfolio_category_you_want_to_display by the slug of your portfolio category?

eg: if you’ve created some items with the design category, then your shortcode should be [birdsfolio cat=”design”]

Thanks for this suggestion, but this won’t be added in this version of the plugin, because it’s one of the many features of the Premium Version.

It’s in the description of the plugin:

The plugin comes with some basic built-in templates to show your portfolio in a page where items can be filtered using smooth animations and cool image hover effects.

So…
Once you’ve added items to your portfolio, just create a Page (Page > Add New).
Just give your page a title and choose the Portfolio template…
Save.
That’s all!

503 error means The server is currently unavailable (because it is overloaded or down for maintenance). Generally, this is a temporary state.

This can also be due to theme/plugin conflict.

Can you please try enabling WP_DEBUG mode? To do this, just go to wp-config.php include this:

define(‘WP_DEBUG’,true);

You might already have a line for WP_DEBUG, so just make sure it’s set to true.

Let me know what errors if any you have…

Sorry, but no!
I received so many feature requests for this plugin that I decided to go Premium.
The Premium plugin has new features:

• Colors transparency
• Links to external images
• Fullscren background image or not. And controls over its position
• Instant preview (for Custom CSS too)
• Settings Import / Export

And more to come, like:

• Login with email or username
• Redirection according to user role (WordPress pre-defined roles & WooCommerce)
• Username & Password Input Icons
• Nicer notices
• Google Fonts

From now on, all new features will be integrated in the Premium version only.

You can add your custom CSS in the plugin.

Something like:

@media screen and (max-width: 600px) {
.your-element {
width: 300px;
}
}
