I know most themes are developed to support WPML and not other 3rd party translation plugins like Polylang.

Since more themes use this function (Ajax page transitions), it wanted to give the plugin authors a tip to try solving this in future updates.

The issue is probably related to that when Ajax page transitions are active the header and footer is not loaded.
For this reason the header and footer content stays the same even after switching the language from Polylang language switcher.
When Ajax page transitions is deactivated Polylang works perfectly since header and footer content is reloaded.

I solved it. I had to change the settings in Polylang to make it work.

I found the error. Puh, I am glad I is solved…

I changed the URL-settings in the plugin from ‘Language code’ to ‘Language decided by content’ (directly translated).

Since I dont get it to work. Does anyone recommend a similar Multilanguage alternative to Polylang?

Yes it works then Polylang is deactivated.

It could be Polylang plugin that encodes the URL’s for the english part of the site, since it is working on the main language.

Yes, all boxes is checked as it should. It might be a problem with another plugin, but since it worked perfectly in the previous version and the other plugins haven’t been updated it has to be Polylang that issues the problem.

Permalinks are ‘/%postname%/’ and no uppercase letters in taxonomy ID is created.
