    Yes I re-saved the settings for the permalinks, and more than once just to make sure, but the issue is consistent on my subsites. I don’t know how to troubleshoot such an issue. Multisite has other limitations such as emailing messages to end-users from the main site and a set language which can be different than the subsite language. I’m thinking about restarting from scratch with standalone (single-site) installations of wordpress. I have only 2 websites and might add a 3rd for the foreseable future and that’s it. Still exploring options.

    Hello again. Please disregard previous post; all described errors or discrepancies are now working as expected, even though I did not make any changes. I suspect the browsers caches were causing the issue.

    While testing some more, I found a related issue, that is when you click on the meta link “Inscription” (or “Register” on the English version of the site) you’re redirected on the enrollment page of the main site, which is configured in English, wp-signup.php. Will keep researching on a way to make this php language aware.
