In reply to: How to Override a FunctionThanks @rev.Voodoo, I appreciate any help I can get. Once I get the process nailed the first time through, then I can obviously repeat this for any other function I wish to override. Getting the 1st one going is just the time consuming and frustrating part.

In reply to: How to Override a FunctionHas anyone had any success overriding a WP function without having to change the core source code files? If so, how did you do it?

In reply to: How to Override a FunctionDoes anyone know if it is possible to shut off a WP function and make your own in its place?

In reply to: How to Override a FunctionThat did not work. I got a white screen — so I interpret that to mean there was a server side issue when I updated functions.php

In reply to: How to Override a FunctionThanks @josh. Yes, I know about not using the function_name() twice.
So if I understand what your saying, I need to move my function to functions.php of my theme rather than adding it as a plugin?

If you are using a Multisite you need to add the file extension to the list at /wp-admin/network/settings.php
Such a simple solution if you want to globally enable a file type on a multisite.
Lack of caching or other speed tweaks becoming a show stopper for this plug-in. We are looking to use it for all our WP installs (we have over 20 within the enterprise), but the slowness of it in loading month-to-month views is causing this plug-in to be less of a viable solution. Caution if planning to roll-out on a widespread basis.
Our current install only has 39 events and the loading of one month to the next is painfully slow. We have no server or network issues as all our sites (100+) load with excellent speed. All except this one.

In reply to: [Plugin: All-in-One Event Calendar] URL Query String for CategoriesAny way to make this happen?
Thanks @yani.iliev. I got it to work.
- Editing: I am prevented from editing more so in that when I click a recurring event and the pop-up frame appears it is not populated with my event. See screen shot https://bit.ly/yAa1dV
- Out-of-control Recurrence: I have a certain event running every weekday from June 2nd to August 10th (see https://bit.ly/xOe5nV). It appears on my weekly calendar in an exponentially replicated fashion (see https://bit.ly/AcS4xS)
I’ll come back to post examples the 3rd issue shortly.
