In reply to: [Civist - Petitions and Fundraising] Awesome plugin and serviceHi @onedigitalfarm,
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. It is very motivating.
I wish you a lot of signatures for your important and good cause!
All the best,
Frank from CivistHi,
First of all – thanks for your great plugin and all your work.
Since update 3.1.28, we also have a problem due to its size. Our AppEngine has a 10k file limit, so we even can’t update the plugin due to its size since V 3.1.28 (> 13 files), but it would be important since the update contains security-related fixes. Unfortunately, we can’t change the limit on our AppEngine. Therefore, I need some information, so we can decide if we have to use another plugin in future or stay with this one, what is our preferred option since it is a great plugin:
1. Will future updates always remain as large as the last one or is it possible to make in general smaller updates in future? It’s important to know because we can have problems like yet any time a plugin update is coming.
2. Is there a solution for the size of this update in sight, e. g. a split in two smaller updates or anything else, so we can update the plugin soon?Thank you very much for your response upfront and all the best,

In reply to: [Civist - Petitions and Fundraising] Description keeps getting deletedDear donna4u2,
First of all: Thank you very much for your honest review, and I feel very sorry that you had to change your five-star review to three stars.
After reading your comments, I guess it is a technical problem or an interfering plugin since we never had similar issues or complains about deleted descriptions.
To help you effectively, I would like to ask you to contact our support directly in the plugin. To do so, please go to your WordPress’s Civist plugin and click the support button on the right. Thank you very much.
The problem with the signing data, we can address right away: What data your supporters have to provide is due to the setup of your Petition. Providing only the email-address is due to the GDPR the standard configuration.
To add additional fields, like one for a ZIP-code, a city or a country, please go to your Petition Edit screen. On the right side, with all the settings, is a section called “Sign Form” (the third one). There you can activate the needed fields by quickly setting a checkmark to the data field you want to use in your Petition signing form. The preview shows you directly how the signing form will look. Don’t forget to click the Update button on the top right corner of the screen.
If you have any other questions or you need further assistance, please feel free to open a ticket via our support channel. We are happy to help.
Kind regards,
Frank
