We apologize for the delay in getting back to you, we launched a new theme that required our full attention and turned the mapping plugin off for a while for troubleshooting.

Now we are back using WP-Geo: Still getting the zooming and centering behavior on our KML layer.

To answer your question, we are using the WP-Geo Recent Locations widget.

Our other questions is regarding performance. We are seeing very large database requests and are trying to determine if it is WP-Geo. Turning the plugin off definitely improves overall performance and site load time. Any ideas on optimizing our server and preloads for WP-Geo?

Map KML layer is working now. Strange thing, the WP Geo widget we are using on the home page is now centering and zooming on the KML object. Is there a way to make the zoom show all points? We have some posts with map points that are outside of this KML layer boundary. See it here:

This issue was memory related. Issue was resolved by increasing memory limit in the server’s php.ini configuration.

We have further reduced server load by using the numberposts=”20″ argument to show only the 20 most recents.

Thanks for this! Deactivated “Revised Open Graph for Facebook” plugin and it fixed publicize to Facebook. Also, don’t seem to need an additional OG plugin anymore to get featured images to appear in FB shares. Running: WP 3.8 Jetpack 2.7

We have reverted to the old version of the plugin to resolve this issue. We are going to see if we can recreate the issue on our development server. Anything to consider? We will update this thread with our findings.

Thanks for the quick update! We tried this and it worked great with the maps at the bottom of the posts, but did not add the overlay to the widget maps or the big map.

We have posted a request with the author of the WP-Geo Big Map plugin; do you have any ideas of how we can make this work with the widget map and the big map?

Thanks! That worked. I replaced the Viper’s video quicktags with the FLV Embed plugin, and now all posts are working. I will post this to the forums.
