  • Hi Patricia,

    I too am very concerned that Roots-Persona may be left without forks or some form of online central development gathering space that others might be able to refer to as they continue to enjoy the functionality of the plug in.

    BUMP!

    I can also offer whatever @patricia70 offered as some future for Roots-Persona.
    But I had always left myself believing that before claiming an open fork, somebody somewhere should agree that whatever original work went in to whatever we would/could be prepared to takeover, was OK with them.
    So can we form a new Roots-Persona Plug-In team or not?

    Cheers – foxsch

    Tara Hi,

    I have just unearthed the problem – on a couple of my websites I was having problems logging in to the admin area using Internet Explorer, and so got into the habit of logging in to the interface in Firefox.
    I just checked one of my websites in Internet Explorer, and the ‘add new’ button appears.
    Many thanks again – William

    Hi Tara,

    Many thanks for the pointers.
    I checked with my server assistants and I am at Max php Memory limit so that will not help.
    Can I ask whether the fact that if all six wordpress websites on my server are affected by this one issue, is it still worth my while deactivating and re-activating all of the plug-ins on each site?
    I did try switching to a default wordpress theme on one of the sites but this was not successful.

    I checked and all 6 of my wordpress websites are missing the ‘add new theme’ button.
    I can assume that this might be a server/SQL problem,
    but where to start looking!

    Problem solved.
    I began the process of cross-checking plug-ins and it seems that my LinkedIn Master plug-in, which I deactivated, was causing some error.
    Hope this helps somebody!

    OK ~ Thanks.

    Still a bit worrying, but let’s hope the script is equally deficient in effectiveness!

    I have replicated this using Opera 32.0

    Check this out: https://timeline.knightlab.com

    Going to try it out myself, I need a two year (daily) timeline.
    So don’t hold your breath on feedback for a while : -)

    That’s an excellent question – bump?!

    Hi mrtom – Many Thanks for Posting ~ Yes ~ I have tried adjusting the second entry you posted there:

    @media screen and (min-width: 1008px) {
    #secondary { width:162px;}
    }

    but that adjusts the content within the sidebar – widen that value and the text stretches without word-wrap, and is lost as it moves over beyond the sidebar sizing.
    I cannot find a 122px value for #secondary, as you have it exactly there in my stylesheet? But there are these:

    (line 3225) #secondary,
    	#supplementary {
    		padding: 0 30px;
    	}

    	.content-sidebar {
    		border: 0;
    		float: right;
    		margin-left: -33.33333333%;
    		padding: 48px 30px 24px;
    		width: 33.33333333%; (?)
    	}

    (line 3596) #secondary {
    		background-color: transparent;
    		border: 0;
    		clear: none;
    		float: left;
    		margin: 0 0 0 -100%;
    		min-height: 100vh;
    		width: 122px;
    	}

    (line 3928) #secondary {
    		width: 162px;

    	.secondary-navigation,
    	.secondary-navigation ul ul {
    		width: 222px;
    	}

    	.secondary-navigation ul li:hover > ul,
    	.secondary-navigation ul li.focus > ul {
    		left: 202px;
    	}

    You’ll notice the width value of the block at 3596 corresponds to your #secondary {width:122px} – I have tried adjusting this value – no change. Also the % value I question-marked – again, no change – its got me stumped.

    That’s a bit odd ~ I came across your post trying to hunt down how to enlarge the main sidebar – are you sure you haven’t reset the home page to the full-width option?
