Sorry for the confusion, all good.

I did some tests and found that the excerpt field is also being displayed on Facebook, just under the Post Title (which itself is just under the featured image). Is the excerpt field being sent by Publicize?

Also I can’t find any of the corresponding fields in the php file link you provided. Could you maybe point me to a line number where I can find, say the featured image, then I can work it out from there.

I was advised by Tracy at Jetpack to contact this forum for the information.

I am not asking for help to write the customisation, simply a list of which WordPress post fields are sent by Publicise to Facebook and which field names are used by Publicize for these purpose.

So I can only hope a volunteer will be able to provide this information, which Jetpack seem unable to do.

Could you please take my request to whoever makes decisions on new features please. Twitter is a huge company and I’m a bit surprised that the website embedding support is so limited.

Retweets are a real pain when using lists.

I know it must be technically possible because there are a few commercial plug-ins offering the facility to filter out retweets – but these plugins have other issues, so I prefer to use the official Twitter plugin.

Thanks for getting back to me. Is it possible I could modify the plugin to add the retweet filter?

Or I note that the page in GitHub talks about a site wide customisation using a filter. Could this be a possible method to achieve what I need?

Thanks for getting back to me. So I have checked the status of that test Facebook event: 2051521898423568 and it clearly says ‘public’ on the screen. I’ve taken a screenshot which you can view at https://norfolkmastering.co.uk/event-2051521898423568/

So maybe I am misunderstanding your explanation? I can see nothing in either the page at https://www.facebook.com/AT-Calendar-2014041825529036/ or the event at https://www.facebook.com/events/2051521898423568/ to indicate a private page or private event.

I would really appreciate if you could double check and show me where the private status is indicated?

Thanks for the information.
Surely if I create a new post which includes an image (so Twitter hasn’t seen the post before) then I send the post to Twitter (via a social media button) then Twitter has no previous cache to work from and should display the post image? Which it is not.

Sorry if I’m not understanding this correctly but I hope you can understand that my objective is to ensure that each newly created post (when tweeted to anyone’s timeline) does show the image.

Again if it’s relevant, please remember that all my posts are displayed on a single page but with short code based social media buttons attached to each post.

I’d appreciated any further explanation/advice you could provide.

Any chance of further advice re my last post please?

All of the Top 5IP’s, Countries, Failed Logins are all showing, ‘We’re collecting data, check back soon’ This is after 4 days of getting a new API code.

Log in security is still not working.

Firewall still in learning mode.

Live traffic and scan seem to be working.

Very concerned about lack of Log in security.

Update. As I said in my first post I ticked the ‘Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation?’ box when I disabled Wordfence. When I reactivated Wordfence it treated it as a fresh install and gave me a new API code. Are you saying there is another step I should take to try and get a completely new install?

I don’t need to store the settings but I’m not sure how to remove the database table. Will that be removed if I delete Wordfence via my site’s dashboard?

Also I have noticed that it is taking me a long time to get logged in to the site. About 10 secs rather than a couple of secs.
