    That would convenient if so.

I might be able to find it, but apparently things didn’t end well and the previous person has cut all ties and wants nothing to do with the company.

How easy would a framing set up be?

So I’m not sure if it was set up with a wget command or something like that, but after doing some looking around that’s my best guess, but I know a lot of websites kind restrict access to that since url’s are constantly changing, but if that’s a solution, I’m willing to try

    Hopefully a few answers

    1. So before the issues (which I’ll explain in a bit), our site featured our wordpress blog. Whoever initially set it up, had it almost mirrored on the site, as in if you clicked on the “blog” link on our actual site our entire wordpress site was visible but we were still on our website, if that makes any sense at all.

    2. I honestly just am not sure how. The service we are using to build our website is extremely limited in adding content and doing much more than building porfolios for projects. Our website is up and running and our blog is up and running, but I just can’t get the two to communicate fully. I have been able to integrate content, just not the full site (again, if that makes sense)

    3. In a very abridged version, I tried to change the URL for my wordpress site and everything went haywire. Somehow my database was deleted, my cNAME was lost, and things were dramatically unlinked (still trying to figure out why adding “www” before my wordpress site doesn’t work, but that’s the least of my issues,. I ended up having to do a full restore which still saved the content but lost the full integration I had before.

So all that to say is there a coding issue or some kind of full integration I can do to get this to show up here

If there’s ANYTHING that still doesn’t make sense please let me know. Thanks in advance

Like I said, it’s all a massive mess. Something was bound to mess up at some point.

I see the content via my cPanel account, but I’ll have to track down the database. To be fair, I’ve actually got us slated to leave photoshelter all together so maybe a fresh start would be nice, but that’s months of content gone…

I know our host is namecheap, but we’re using photoshelter as the place where we actually build the website. I wasn’t around when it was set up so maybe there is some weird marriage between the two, but yeah, this whole thing sucks.

I think you’re on to something there. I can’t honestly say what happened. Needless to say web design is not my greatest forte.

Is there a way to get the content off cPanel at all? May make creating a new site easier (assuming that’s what I have to do).

Either way thank you SO MUCH for all your help and support. I can’t really give anything via the internet other than my utmost thanks, but seriously, thank you so much for all your help in trying to figure this whole thing out.

Ok, so here’s an update for anyone who even wants to tackle this one.

My SQL datebase is more or less gone. I can still see the user and database but there is no info inside and it’s as if it’s been freshly created. I still can’t access my actual page, BUT if I go into my actual “wp” root file I can still see all the content I had posted and such (images, posts, plugins, etc).

So, next steps? Can I just give a fresh reboot while keeping the content I have posted, or do I need to completely restart? Options are open from here on out…

    This day has sucked

So I’m in phpMyAdmin and I can’t find anything in terms of a database.

What in the world is happening?

    (@forwarddesignbuild)

    Cheers thanks

Yes, I used the “define” line for the wp-config.php.

And yes, those all line up with what is in my config file.

I’ll go ahead and try to do a backup

    Figures the picture didn’t work.

    @kmessinger

That would be the moronic site builder my boss is making us use and Beam is the basically the useless template that he has chosen to use.

As for that coding, your guess is as good as mine.

I placed the “WP_HOME” and “WP_SITEURL” in the wp-config.php file, so the root wp folder. I haven’t touched the theme’s functions.php file. I didn’t do anything to tamper with the theme when I was messing around, just with the functionality of the wordpress blog itself.

And I can’t even get to a location where I can enter the username and password. I didn’t tamper with the database username or passsword at anytime.

I just did a live chat with namecheap (who is my host) and they said everything is fine on their end.

If I do an uninstall via softaculous can I save my posts and content just reinstall wordpress?

If I unclick any options is saving content still plausible?

    Thread Starter forwarddesignbuild

    (@forwarddesignbuild)

Did the update_option to the theme and got the same issue. Did I truly break this thing?

    Thread Starter forwarddesignbuild

    (@forwarddesignbuild)

Well whichever gets my site up and running. I can edit anything if it starts working. I don’t think it’s a theme issue though. It seems to be with just the general site at this point.

    Thread Starter forwarddesignbuild

    (@forwarddesignbuild)

Like I mentioned it’s almost as if wordpress has completely deleted itself.

    Thread Starter forwarddesignbuild

    (@forwarddesignbuild)

Yeah I’ve been doing the root wp-config.php the whole time. Figured it was more of an internal issue than theme based.

I just tried entering the code without the “www” and at least got something new with: “Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_option() in /home/plansush/public_html/wp/wp-config.php on line 2” but I know that just means the second line isn’t working well but hey, its a new message!

I changed it to /blog just to be safe and it got another “page cannot be found” message. This blows…
