In reply to: Sudden login error screen or somethingIn fact, that is the thing I did do that probably triggered this. I changed a URL in Settings > General. Had no idea it would have such an effect.
According to the first two methods to correct the problem, the only one that worked was changing the wp-config.php file. Changing the functions.php was the recommended solution, though that did not resolve it.
The instructions continue by saying once the problem is fixed, you then need to remove the previously added code and re-upload the file. That did not work for me. Once I removed that code, the problem came back again. The site now seems to require that hard coding into the wp-config file.
So, the solution worked but not exactly as predicted according to the instructions. I hope that doesn’t further affect the site leaving that code in there. Now in Settings>General, the two URL fields are grayed out.
Thank you very very much!

In reply to: WP uploading images but they are not displaying in Media GalleryHow is this a duplicate post? This is a totally separate question, which is actually a courtesy to create a separate post.

In reply to: Why is WordPress creating 16 separate images?I appreciate the help. Some are coming from the theme, some are coming from Jetpack. I deactivated Jetpack. Here are the search results coming from string locator, if this makes any sense to you.

In reply to: Why is WordPress creating 16 separate images?I guess we’re supposed to just magically know that. I found it thank you. Ok with that search I can see that some are created by my theme, but I don’t know where to modify what images it creates.
Overall though I don’t really know how to interpret or act on the results it is showing me.- This reply was modified 6 years, 3 months ago by Chris.

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Store Locator Search FieldsHow do I unsubscribe from this thread? I keep getting emails for every new comment, it’s driving me bonkers. Thank you.
Actually, not fully resolved. I’ve modified the NextGen lighbox style, but I’m still getting a secondary lightbox that remains after clicking away the first one. I’m wondering if this is some kind of default WordPress thing. If so I have no idea where to modify that. Also wondering why this should be happening. If at all possible please view the gallery and the effect in question here:

Ok thank you that really helps clear it up. I can see now how two lightboxes are competing. I have adjusted as you describe. Thank you.
Ok thank you. Sorry for my delayed response, the forum took several days to moderate my post – not sure why – so I wasn’t even sure if it got posted.
For the first guidance, I added the styles you provided and there was no effect. Here is a link to a screenshot of where I added them, to make sure I put them in the right place:
https://sequentz.com/nextgen-uncentered.pngAs for the pagination, I switched to Twenty Fifteen, and the pagination was corrected. I assume this implies that my theme is disrupting the layout in various ways. If this is this is the case boy that will require a lot of time to figure out. Pain in the neck.
I was hoping there was a quick Nextgen style I could tweak that would widen the container in which the pagination sits.
Thank you for your help.

In reply to: How to trace a style from Inspect back to stylehseetHi thank you – yes, turns out this was a setting in my theme options, which I must have overlooked because I swore I had to manually change via css. After a while I found it. Thank you for your help.
I know – I pasted inthe correct URL, but upon posting, it gave the above. Then I tried to edit my original post but that did not work. Then I tried to reply, but it said “topic closed.” Are therre some technical issues with the WordPress forums?
Also I could attach a screenshot, but I don’t see that option.
Anyway…Thanks for the response, trying again:
