Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wp-admin URL is suddenly changing, breaking backendA quick follow up: we deactivated the plugin (by renaming the concerning folder “pdf-print-pro” in /wp-content/plugins/). Now the backend works normally as expected.
Thus, we suspect it is a problem with this plugin.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: wp-admin URL is suddenly changing, breaking backendWe experience the same problem right now on two of our sites. We found one similarity between them: the plugin “PDF & Print Pro von BestWebSoft” is installed on both sites. Is it installed on your sites as well @standingout and @4wdabcwebmaster ?
(we’re investigating more right now)
figuered it out myself!
there is this setting for each user group, which needs to be set for the concerning user group: https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/103-user-roles-settings#profile-access
@zahardoc Yes, we realized it here (in the blue left sidebar): https://www.hi-deutschland-projekte.de/crossroads/podcast/ This only outputs the filled out settings. (We used a custom template with a widget area to include the headline and image.)
I wanted to show it in the frontend to all (anonymous and logged in) users.
A shortcode sounds really really useful! This could be perfect for every sidebar or widget area or even for blog posts/pages when using gutenberg etc.
Fot the shortcode it would also be very benificiary, if it only outputs the filled out distribution channels. Because
ssp_get_option( 'subscribe_options' )
outputs ALL the subcribe options that are checked, regardless if I actually filled out the field ??
Oh wow – this seems perfect! Thank you very much. Maybe you should integrate this on the developer docs here: https://support.castos.com/category/44-advanced-installation-developers (I was searching around there, but didn’t find any infos).
Yes, “less results” as a marketing point for the plugin could be a dealbreaker ??
Yes, I mean less results compared to the default WordPress search. I know, this is kind of a philosophical question, if less results are “better” or “worse” when it comes to the default WordPress search ?? (especially on WordPress sites with a lot of content, e.g. 200+ posts).
But considering that people searching for specific (more detailed/longer) queries find MORE results than people using a “shorter” query, this seems a bit unexpected and unintuitive (from a user perspective).
Thanks for your ideas
Ok, thank you for your answer. If I get you right, my request is only solveable when using the * character in the frontend. (And I think this is not a viable solution for not so techy people).
(Actually this makes the plugin show less results with the standard settings. This should be mentioned somewhere in the docs or in the plugin.)
It would be very cool, if there would be a setting in the plugin (or at least a filter/action) for switching this on.
Thanks @ajay for your reply! I already tried this but to no avail. But I switched it on, please check these results: https://spielwiese.eigenstil.de/?s=anwend

Setting Delay in posting to 1 minute!(I was just too impatient ??)

Hey everybody – I accidentially found a solution (it was mentioned in the slack group, so I headed over to github: https://github.com/pods-framework/pods-gravity-forms/issues/154#issuecomment-950139898)
SOLUTION (temporary, if applicable):
- checking “Support entry updates” on the pods feed for the concerning form
I hope this will be fixed in the next version.
???? Thanks!
@retrocool which alternative solutions are out there? Could you post any links, that would be great!
