I’m afraid I’d need to know more about the shortcode you’re trying to use. It’s possible it just doesn’t like being nested with other shortcodes. Which theme is it?

I apologize for the delay in responding to this thread. I’ve tried and tried and I’m unable to reproduce this problem –can you give me any more information? Does the Javascript console indicate any errors?

I’m sorry that you had difficulty with our plugin. Because Bootstrap Shortcodes for WordPress and page builders like Page Builder and Visual Composer fill a lot of the same needs (formatting and laying out page content) my recommendation is to choose one or the other for your site and stick with that. Our plugin is only designed to work with the build-in WordPress editor.

I tested our plugin with the combination of additional plugins you suggested (Shortcode Ultimates and Page Builder) and while there were some display issues with our media button, I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem you’re seeing. If you have identified a conflict please consider submitting your findings either to our GitHub issues page here, or to the support forum here on www.remarpro.com. We will be happy to work with you to resolve the issue.

Can you try disabling all plugins except Bootstrap Shortcodes for WordPress and see if the problem remains? Then re-activate your plugins one-by-one and determine which one causes the issue.

That’s the best I have right now because I can’t reproduce the issue you’re seeing on my end.

I’m not able to reproduce this issue using VC 4.4.3 and the latest version of this plugin. It’s possible your theme is also doing something weird with Bootstrap modals (popups) that’s interfering. What theme are you using? Are you able to switch to another theme and keep VC activated to test that avenue?

With Broadcast, Events Calendar, and the Broadcast Plugin Pack installed: pages, posts, and events should broadcast properly.

Alright, it worked when I cloned to a different web server and tried database backup and import process (make change->backup database->push->pull).

This inspired me to delete my “Staging” install and re-clone it from GitHub.

And miraculously everything seems to be working correctly after doing that.

This is great news because it’s working, but terrible news because I have no idea what was wrong or why it’s “fixed” now.

I’m going to keep playing with it to see if I can find any more problems or inconsistencies. I really appreciate your attention on this issue. Revisr is integral to the development workflow I’m proposing to my team and I know how much time support issues like this (especially weird ones with no obvious cause or resolution!) can take. Thank you.

I’m very sorry to report that I’m not seeing any new errors or log information using that version.

I’m going to try to pull to a different remote environment to eliminate that as the culprit. I’ll report back.

Is there some way I could pipe all of the php exec output (if any) to a file to see what it says?

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. I just did another test backup/push/pull and all files in my staging revise-backups folder now have today’s date on them. Furthermore, those .sql files have the updated content in them (I made a page called “Test Page”, and it’s in the revisr_wp_posts.sql).

So the problem is definitely on the db import side of things.

Checking my mysql error log I’m not seeing anything related to this import.

Any insight on where I might look for errors, logs, or debug info?

Manually running the content of the .sql files through phpmyadmin works.

I’ve tried rolling back to previous versions of The Events Calendar without luck. Is there any other workaround for this at the moment?
