James, thanks for the response. So yes, seeing the whole year of 2018 is nice but not necessarily useful for me because I am looking for individual day stats.

If it’s possible for me to click the back arrow 600 times to get to the day I’m looking for wouldn’t it also be possible/easy to let users search for specific days?

Is there a good way for me to suggest this to the development team at Jetpack? Thanks again.

Okay just a simple matter of miscommunication on my part. I had deleted one comment which contained multiple replies and they all went missing when I removed one comment.

Gildus, I was having the same problem. The theme just needs to be updated, which it was. Run the update and you’re all set.

Sorry that didn’t work for you, I realize that “Child Theme” is only an option if you use the One-Click Child Theme plugin, which I do.

I’m not sure which plugin your developer is using but if you click Plugins below Appearance you should be able to locate it. The reason why theme footer is not under templates is because you have not added it to your Child Theme yet.

I am not an expert on everything, yet I made the same edit you are looking to do on my website using the One Click Child Theme plugin. If that doesn’t work for you, someone with a bit more knowledge on WP will have to step in here to advise the last few steps for you.

Go to “Appearance” in your wpadmin dashboard. Click “Child Theme” Select footer.php as a template file and then press “copy template.”

Next, in the “Appearance” tab click Editor at the bottom. Then select ‘Theme Footer’ under Templates on the right and edit the text. Here you will highlight the existing code and paste in the code that Swayam provided above. (which will write over the existing code)

That should do the trick.

I found the option under screen options of the edit page but it does not prevent the tags/categories from showing up in posts. All set.

The simplest way I found to do it was create a “Custom Link” (which i used as my website url https://www.folliclethought.com) and added that to my menu as a link that I titled “News.”

I’m sure there’s many ways to do it. That was the easier way for me.

-Where do I find the content/loop-post.php file

-In detail, where do I need to put that?

-What program can I use to open and view php files. I’m on Windows 7 and my comp told me it could not view a php file that I downloaded.

ps.- I have a new found fascination and appreciation with coding now. I remember when I was 13 and the internet was still ‘new’ I dabbled with Geocities (remember that?) and thought maybe I wanted to be a hacker. Then my brother said something negative about computers and it turned me off to it. Just a random thought. But you guys,…. you guys who know what you’re doing, that’s pretty cool. I applaud it.

I really appreciate your help. I’m extremely new to coding and developing, but I did create the Child Theme.

From there I do not know what to do next. Do I need to find something from the parent theme and copy it and paste it to Child’s theme?

If you could explain that process I’d appreciate it.
