How come that looks so different from the desktop version masonry grid? If I changed it to not be randomly generated, would that change the layout?

No, not at all; I would want masonry grid, not a gallery with equal sized thumbnails.

Thanks for your input. I just much prefer the look of the masonry grid layout rather than having to scroll through a long line of single images. If smaller thumbnails can work for Instagram, then why not a website gallery?

Hi, yes, I tried this but it ended up sitting underneath my social media icons. Is there any way of alighning them?

This must have been why I did it the original way but I can’t fathom how I would have done this without the plugin or why I would have deleted the plugin if that’s how I’d done it in the first place =/

The only problem I have now is that I’ve turned the Topbar Icon Menu off, added a Topbar widget with my social media links but my search box has completed disappeared even though I’ve enabled “Display Search in Topbar”

Is it not possible to have a widget and the search box in the Topbar at the same time?

Thank you for getting back to me and sorry I’ve left it so long to reply but I still need help. I couldn’t get to my TOP BAR SETTINGS the way you suggested as there was no “Theme Options” from the “Appearance” menu.

I did find settings in the customizer but these are the only options I have for topbar settings:

I also looked into your recommendation of adding a widget but I can’t find where to disable the Icon Menu without turning the whole topbar off and these are the only areas for widget options that have been provided:

So what am I doing wrong? Haha!

Okay.. So I managed to get the topbar widget area working at last and added my social media icons and my search bar but I still can’t get rid of the original icons that I must have put there. How can I find where I did this and remove them?

I know this is slightly off topic but now that I’ve made these changes, I have a grey block behind my images and white text underneath them which is barely visible on the front page in the footer widget.

How can I change these settings?

I personally found that if you add the widget “Custom Menu” but then leave the title blank and do not select a menu from the drop down list that this then left a blank space where previously there was the search bar etc. I also changed the page to “full width template” so that the text went right across the page and didn’t look shunted to the left.

I’m sure there’s a correct way of changing this by changing the script as Zulf mentioned so I guess this is the version for those who don’t know anything about coding.
