Thank you for your fast reply – highly appreciated!
Once I’m logged into my WP dashboard, I click APPEARANCE and the MENUS. However, I don’t see the “Ultimate member menu settings”. Am I look the wrong place? This is what I see:
ttps://i.imgur.com/YFBP8FG.jpgI’m sure the plugin has been installed correctly since it asks whether I want to install the extensions at the top of the page. Is this needed in order to find the mentioned settings?
Hi Joachim,
Thank you for your feedback!
In order to be able to schedule posts related both to EDM and FOOTBALL, I have decided to make two “fake” pages where each CATEGORY is just used in a menu taking the user to each page once the respective link is clicked.
I have re-installed “Content Aware Sidebars”.
Based on your feedback, I have sent up the following conditions:I’m not sure if I’ve set everything up correctly – for example, what am I supposed to state under “Dates”?
Ideally, I’d like the EDM page ONLY to display POSTS related to EDM once the link in the menu for this specific page is clicked. Once at the page, the sidebar should only show categories related to this subject – i.e. EDM.
Neither posts nor comments related to FOOTBALL should be visible on the EDM page – and vice versa. Can “Content Aware Sidebars” do this?
MANY thanks in advance for your feedback!
Best regards,
Christian
Hi Joachim,
Thank you so much for your reply!
1) I followed your instructions and it seemed to work. At least when I go to the blog page, only posts within the relevant category shows. However, as soon as click “September 2018” under “Archives”, posts from other categories are included/shown.
2) I have tried to install “Custom Sidebars – Dynamic Widget Area Manager” which seems to be what I’m looking for. However, whenever I want to create a sidebar and click “Create sidebar”, nothing happens. The little round thing indicating that something is “loading” just keeps going round and round, but nothing happens. Any idea what can be wrong?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Best regards,
Christian

In reply to: Creating a Tripadvisor clone with WordPress?I know that – if I had the money – I could ask someone to do the entire site for me. However, I don’t – that’s why I’m asking for help here. Besides – it an exciting task to see if I can end up doing most of it myself…

In reply to: Creating a Tripadvisor clone with WordPress?Dear Steve,
Thank you for your feedback!
I have browsed through the links which contain very useful info!
In terms of the LOOK of my website, I guess I can go with the existing theme or use one of the directory themes. However, my main concern is more how I can build the FORM that allows users of my website to submit their reviews of the movie theater? With the Business Directory plug-in don’t I “just” get the framework for building my own directory (from scratch)?
In the FORM, when users start to type the name of the movie theater in question, I’d like the text to start auto-completing as the user type – just like when you search on Google.com. Isn’t it possible to add Google Places to the “backside” of the form allowing users to “draw” from that database before starting to build their own database?
