For me, the markers can be the same. I was not even thinking about the possibility of edit them. The need is to group multiple markers from different maps.

I have a site for tourism in my area: I need to create local maps, for several cities. For each city, there is a map with tourist attractions: churches, a castle, a museum …
(here is an example of local map)

My wish would be to consolidate all the local maps into a larger with a different scale, but combining all cities.
And also, it would be great to make cards by “categories”, for example all the churches of the region, or all the castles …
For this it would be necessary to put “custom taxonomy” on markers, and thus create maps by taxonomy as categories or tags archives for posts.

What do you think about?

In fact, I was looking for a plugin to tag images in order to sort / select easily (I already have 230 photos on my site). But those I’ve tried are heavy or too complex. Enhanced Media File works well but it impacts on the number of topics displayed in the tag cloud.

Your plugin is lightweight and allows an easy research.
It will be really great when it can work in media list for all sites.

It is very curious:
– I have the same problem on a local test site (with Wampserver) -> search on the description works in grid mode, but not in list mode.
– On the other side, I have no problem on an online test site.

On the site where the plugin does not work, I tried to put the same theme as the site where it works, and I also turned off all other plugins. But that does not change.

So why does a configuration work and not the other one?

Yes, your code works: it lets us assign tags to images, and it is not counted in the tag cloud. That’s perfect.
Except that for the time the tags are not displayed in the media library in back-end.

I hope you will be able to include this code in the next version of the plugin, so I can sort photos by tags on backend, without affecting the number of tagged subjects recorded in the tag cloud.

You mean I have to deactivate the plugin and then reactivate it?

Edit: Well, I tried to disable and then re-enable the plugin: the problem is still there -> when I add a tag to a picture, it is counted in the number of posts for the tag cloud.

Then I created a new post with a new uploaded photo to which I have added two tags.

Unfortunately, the code has not changed anything: Image tags are still counted with those of articles in the tags cloud. ??

But finally, I chose another plugin (Basic Google Maps), which manages well the display of link and image by HTML in the tooltip of the marker.
