I have the same error after IWP dashboard upgrade.

I’ve just downloaded the ‘latest ‘ version to reinstall and its is v2.15.5.5.1.zip
Will this fix the error or do I need to find and install V3.x?

So because you want to to use the plugin for something it’s not designed to do you give it a 1 star?

So to confirm that I understand – the WP time capsule backs up versions of the files, but not the database?

I had a look in the folders and didn’t see anything that looked like a DB SQL export or similar.

Just a follow up to CustomRayGuns:
I’ve had a similar issue at Justhost (which is basically a re-brand of bluehost) – so maybe their servers had an outbreak. Or we were just unliucky at the same time…..

I had a bunch of low traffic sites on their shared hosting which all got hit with the same hack and kept re-spawning – As soon as I fixed one site it was re-infected by one of the others.

Justhost support was largely ineffective – mostly wanted to keep upselling me some security package. Even on a call to their tech support I pressed an option to ‘talk to a rep about security’ and was redirected to sales in this external company!
In the end I had to delete !everything! from my hosted account, get them to re-activate the account, then restore and verify each site and database from backups. A nightmare waste of time – but i seem to be back now.

I had already followed the steps to ‘disable but not turn off’ IPN notifications – but that didn’t resolve the problem.

Where would I re-enter the IPN handler URL as you suggested – at Paypal or within my wordpress site?

For anyone else with the same problem:

The fix that worked for me was to completely clear the date format box in the plugin’s settings page, and then specify the date format in the shortcode.

This worked for me: [todaysdate format=”l, F jS Y”]
This throws the Line 79 error: [todaysdate]

It’s a very niche use case – I’ve only ever had the one site that wanted to limit access by IP address – and I was able to get it done. If it ever comes up again I might try to learn enough PHP to add the flexibility…

Thanks for replying. I’ll read up on global and local declarations and gave another go.

I did use custom roles to add “Restricted” to the menu options – but I couldn’t work out how to use the $is_restricted variable to actually hide the menu items.

The logic is simple –

“if (logged in) or ($is_restricted = false) Show the item – else hide it”
but i couldn’t make it work. My php is not much better than cut and paste – and I was missing something.

+1. Just updated a site from an old version (3.x) of WP to 4.2 and now this plugin is broken (short codes not working ) and when I try to access settings i get an insufficient permissions message

Hey – sorry for the late reply – I’ve been busy.

The plugin now seems to be working – at least i can get it to do what I want it to :).

I still have the weird thing where when I insert a shortcode it gets overwritten by an image. But I can change to the Text editing pane – to see the code so that is OK for now.

The button for the options dialog is still not working – I have to write the short codes by hand

The grouponly parameter is working OK ??

I still cannot achieve what I want yet. It is to do with the way the plugin handles posts that appear in 2 categories. Maybe it is not possible…

Say I have 3 categories (cat1, cat2, cat3) and 4 articles :
Monday is in cat1, cat2
Tuesday is in cat1, cat3
Wed is in cat1
Thurs is in cat1, cat2, cat3

group=category cat=”1″ exclude=0 grouponly=1 gives:
Cat1(4) << This is OK

group=category grouponly=1 gives:
cat1(4)
cat2(2)
cat3(2)

Is there a code I can use to give this?
