Got it… now added custom padding to here

I have re-sized my logo in the child css but now need to drop the menu row down to suit….which padding should I increse, their seems to be a few menu entries but nothing stands out. thanks

Just to confirm, when you say I can copy blocks into the CSS…..does that mean I dont have to start off by copying the entire content of the original CSS? Do I just copy the blocks I want to change? If so I assume it finds the rest of the content from the original style CSS…..am I understanding that correctly.

Hi, when creating a child theme and creating a new style.css should I just select all and copy and paste the orignal style code into the new style.css in the child directory and then make changes to it?

also if I copy the footer.php into that directory how do I point for modified the child version to be used?

From the all pages button in the dashboard select either Quick edit or edit, both options have a box labelled order, simply number the box in 10’s for each group. numbering in 10’s rather than singles gives you future addition/expansion without having to renumber all pages to adjust sequence as you will have spare slots between each unit of 10….EG.

display 1st – Home (order 10)

display 2nd Cars (order 20)
Under parent group of Cars

ford (10)
Vauxhall (20)
Porsche (30)

display 3rd Bikes (order 30)

so if after doing a lot of work you decide that you want Planes to appear 2nd before cars you would number it for example order 15.

If you want Suzuki to appear between Vauxhall and Porsche then you could order that 25.

not sure I have explained it that well, but hopefully you get the idea.

OK so after much experimenting on a 15″ laptop I have found 1200 x 350 works best, the images also look great on iPhone, 27″ Mac, and iPad.

An answer to this question would be really useful as im trying to upload images to the slider and they keep getting cropped or stretched etc so the optimum upload size for laptop would avoid a lot of headache….please.
