In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] email adminThis requires further coding, I need to take a look at it. The media upload issue is simpler, I will dig into it first.
Thanks Patrick, this motivates me to go on with the support of this plugin!
That’s right, I have filtered out the media upload capability for security reasons. I could make this available as an option. Let me perform some tests to see first if it works.
With regards to the directory, you could make this non browseable meaning that the user won’t be able to list the files (I think this can be done with a .htaccess). I think you could also prevent direct access and only allow access through a site page.

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] email adminI need to think a bit about it because it isn’t that simple… I have three options here :
1/ Add a global option with a table containing the list of users able to assign tickets. Easy to set (one place) but not very clean.
2/ Add a capability and allow capability assignment under the user profile.
3/ Add a profile option and associate a meta value to each user. The issue is that you are the first one to ask for this kind of filtering. This would make the plugin configuration quite complex and wouldn’t be required nor benefitial for most users. So I am not sure on how to proceed on this…
The notification option is only there for original notification (ie during new ticket submission). Admin won’t receive any further email after that. If you want to get some notifications on each comment, I suggest you to install the Subscribe 2 comments plugin, I think it will do the job better than any other else ??

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] email admin1/ Glad that it works ??
2/ You want to be able to assign the tickets to who? Ticket originator and admins only? If that’s what is required, I will need to code a new option for this…

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] email adminHi,
1/ If you look at the options, you will see that you can turn on email notifications to admin upon new ticket submission. This is exactly what you are looking for.
2/ Not sure I understand what you are looking for here. You want to restrict the list of users to which a ticket can be assigned, is that it?
Hi Psaad,
Thanks for using WATS!
First, please let me explain why the user needs to have a minimum level of contributor in order to be able to submit tickets. This is because the ‘edit_posts’ capability is required to be able to submit a ticket. Indeed, a ticket is nothing else than a post with a post_type of ticket. So that’s why you won’t see the menuitem with subscribers because they don’t have the edit_posts capability.
Now if you don’t want your users to submit and modify posts, you could use the shared guest account feature. This is an account that you create and associate with the plugin through the options. This account will only be able to submit tickets, nothing else in the admin.
You could also use admin customization plugins such as the one you mentionned.
With regards to the ticket assignment feature, you have to set the option to indicate who can assign tickets. Then based on that, users may have to be logged in order to be able to assign tickets. The assignment can be performed on the frontend or the admin (if the user has the capability to submit/edit tickets).

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] single-ticket.php not overridingHello Mountainash,
Thanks for using WATS. single-ticket.php is used only to display ticket. It won’t be used for posts which keep their default single.php template. Having said that, have you noticed a change between 1.0.25 and previous releases on that front? I wouldn’t expect any as I haven’t touched this area of the code for few releases but you never know…
You can contact me through my site contact form and give me your site URL if you want so that I can look further at the issue.
Thanks!

https://www.lautre-monde.fr/wats/Hi,
There is a redirection loop bug. You are the second one to report this issue but I have still not been able to reproduce it. It would help me if you could contact me through my contact form on my blog to indicate the url of your blog and the login details for the guest user if you agree.
Thanks!
Olivier

In reply to: [Plugin: WordPress Advanced Ticket System] Footer showing twiceHello,
Thanks for the heads’ up, I have fixed the bug in release 1.0.3 which is now available for download.
Cheers!
You should be really frustrated to spend time trying to enforce policies…
Or maybe you wanted to get my plugin to duplicate the code for your own needs… Too bad.
Last message from my side, I don’t already lost too much time with you.
Hope you will discover one day that things aren’t black and white and that there is a third path between good and evil…
Bye bye
