• Shortcodes in WP File Manager: Our free version of WP File Manager does not currently offer shortcode functionality. This is a core feature reserved for the Pro version.
  
• Security Concerns: We understand your concern about vulnerabilities. There are no ongoing security issues related to shortcodes in our WP File Manager plugin.
  
• WP File Manager vs. Advanced File Manager: It’s important to note that WP File Manager and Advanced File Manager are two separate plugins.
  The security issue you mentioned with shortcodes (CVE-2023-7061 link: Wordfence Threat Intelligence Page) applies specifically to the Advanced File Manager Shortcode plugin, not ours.

While the free version of WP File Manager allows you to edit code, modifying the default login link (wp-login.php) directly is not recommended. This approach can be risky and lead to security vulnerabilities.
Here are some safer alternatives to consider:

Security Plugins: Several free plugins like “WPS Hide Login” or “Rename wp-login.php” can help you change the default login URL.

Theme Customization (if applicable): If you’re comfortable with the code, some themes allow modifying the login URL through theme functions.

Important Note:
Editing core WordPress files like wp-login.php can break functionality or introduce security issues.

However, if you still wish to modify the login files using WP file Manager, right-click on the file and choose the code editor from the menu to open it in the code editor. You can save the changes when you are done.
We recommend you back up the files you want to modify before making any changes.
