In reply to: Sidebar Bullet removalThanks for the reply. It doesn’t seem to do anything but I think I should be directing this question to the Digital Raindrops guys as there are a lot of additional php files added through their tutorials… the culprit code will be in one of those somewhere!
Thanks again for the reply

In reply to: Sidebar not showing correctly on blog pageMany thanks for the reply and suggestion – I corrected the html and it worked!
I wonder if this is a known ‘issue’ at www.remarpro.com?…
I am loving WP as it enables me to create and edit pages/posts etc without getting involved too much in the html or css code.
I have used the html view on a page if, for instance, I want to change the colour of the font for a few words – however I have noticed that if you chop and change things in Visual mode e.g. add, delete and re-add an image, cut and paste to move paragraphs, it does seem to leave a legacy of code snippets such as the <div>Once again, thanks for bailing me out here!

In reply to: Double website name in Google Searchooops sorry for the illegalities earlier! I’ll bookmark the pastebin!
Thanks for the reply, I have found and removed as suggested – I take it that this will take a bit of time before the goolebots etc find the change? I have updated the WP SEO sitemap etc.

In reply to: Static Home page and blog pageThanks all’s well now!

In reply to: Static Home page and blog pageGreat, thanks, that worked!
/%postname%/ generates the post/page URL as https://www.mydomain.com/whatevername/
If I want the reference to read https://www.mydomain.com/whatevername e.g. without the last slash can I alter the permalink to
/%postname%or is there some coding protocol/need to have the last slash?

In reply to: Static Home page and blog pagesorry that should read

In reply to: Home page points to another pageNo. I chose the custom option and typed https://www.mydomain.com/blog it has been fine.
I have also reset it to read https://www.mydomain.com/art and it worked just fineI have checked the permalinks at the top of each page in edit mode and they read ok e.g. home page https://www.mydomain.com/
but when I view the website my home page url becomes https://www.mydomain.com/t-shirts/windsor-design-2 (this is being stored somewhereand updated as there was a ‘1’ earlier)
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Home page points to another pageYes it’s set as https://www.mydomain.com/blog
It’s been fine until I added the 2 pages with T-Shirt page as parent today.
Read through the link to permalinks but nothing seems wrong.

In reply to: Moving WordPress within your siteGreat, Great, Brilliant and Good!!!
I need to get braver about looking in unknown (to me) files – cleared the htaccess files and have now successfully moved the WP files and all is working.
Thanks for your assistance.
