In reply to: can’t handle X in url ?Well – where did you enter it?
OK, no jokes – but you just used the multiplication sign instead of an x – I don’t know why it is an “×” and not a “*”… but I don’t know where you entered it
A good point to start would be https://www.4x4sweden.se/wordpress/wp-admin/options-general.php

In reply to: can’t handle X in url ?this is a known problem – i remember taking part in some support-question regarding this. I am looking for it – have a link at the office but not at home *sorry*
Ahm, you did take notice that “×” is not the same as “x”?

In reply to: Comments notification email’s header languageGo to wp-includes-directory and look for it in
pluggable-functions.php
. Maybe you can use a language-specific file (which should be put inwp-includes/languages
-directory) like de_DE.mo (this is german for my case) where this translation is already made!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Placing a table into a post??I came over this in one of my older “projects” last year but I am 99% sure it’s not a WordPress-thing itselfes but more a problem of the editor. What does the output-code “say”?

In reply to: Background not showing up@darcie: well – WHAT works? *g* There’s the same “problem” as Jordhie has – including the scrollbar-issue…
Don’t get me wrong – I am not sitting here and smirk (is this the correct english meaning?!) but struggling for a proper solution to an idea which I think is quite good & therefore very interesting and “worth the work” (

In reply to: Background not showing up*hehe* you’re “working” on it too – so what’s the point =:^)
Well, see https://www.pixelcow.com/fht/wordpress-test/test-a-splode_net-01.php and maybe YOU can tell me what I do wrong…
My idea was to put a DIV with the “swoosh” on the left and an image of the same size to the right (OK, i combined them…), then put that stuff in the middle of the page (as there is a given value for the “swoosh” and the header-graphic itselfes) and get it to display this layer “over” the original “header-thingy”.
If I leave out Jordhie‘s saved site (downloaded it to the server for testing) which I include via PHP both of my header-images are shown… but if I include it, just the one AFTER her content is displayed!

In reply to: Admin’s commentCould you give us the error-message as it appears when she tries it? And what plug-in is/are used? Maybe this helps a little bit to track down the error.

In reply to: Background not showing upOK, just got back to the office.
@jordie: your problem isn’t solved and still remains in higher screen-resolutions. But I don’t have an answer handy at the moment…Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Background not showing up*smiles* nice thread!
The vertical scrollbars take up screen-width too but are not always shown (depending on browser!); for example: the FireFox-scrollbar under Windows XP is about 19px wide.

In reply to: Background not showing upThanks & you’re welcome!
One more thing: This just works with a horizontal resolution of 1024 pixels (though I think you already know) and only if there are vertical scrollbars!
