In reply to: Best Twitter Plugin per requirementsI wanted to post a reply in case others find themselves in the same boat as me…
Twitter Tools seems to be abandoned. So in my research, STC ( Simple Twitter Connect ) was a GREAT fit for me. Otto, the author of the plugin, was EXTREMELY helpful with me. Answered all my questions and got back to me quickly.
STC coupled with WP-Bitly plugin was the PERFECT solution ??

In reply to: [Tools for Twitter] This plugin doesn't post anything in twetterAs a follow up for others that seem to be having this problem, I’ve decided to dump this plugin and went with STC ( Simple Twitter Connect ) plugin.
Otto, the author of the plugin, is EXTREMELY helpful, and the plugin just works!
Coupled with the WP-Bitly plugin, STC is a real winner for me! ??

In reply to: Best Twitter Plugin per requirementsWell.. Unfortunately, I cant get Twitter Tools to post to Twitter. It seems others out there is having the same problem and their questions are not getting answers. I’m thinking that maybe the plugin has been abandoned by the Author(s).
Is there a next best plugin per my requirements?? Would be great to hear from anyone that has an opinion on the it ??
Thanks! ??

In reply to: Help with MySQL on a Windows serverSam..
Thanks for the reply!!! Maybe I can go in depth a little more.
The original site will have and does have its own database. The problem I’m running into is that the setup script is trying to connect to the MySQL in order to setup a new DB. I cant remember the ‘root’ password for it to have access to create a new DB.
So, with that being said. If I change the ‘root’ password to MySQL so that I can use the script to create the new DB for the new site, will my original site be affected at all? I’m thinking no because the original’s site username and password to MySQL isn’t going to change. Only the ‘root’ password for MySQL will change.
Am I correct in my logic?
Thanks again for your time! ??
