@threadi I got the error log. Actually there were two error logs. the first one was only showing an error from January 4 to January 5. The other one shows error logs that are more recent and some lines about functions.php and stuff. I’m not sure what it means or how to read it exactly.

@threadi When I change the WP_DEBUG to False, I still get the JSON error. I did not see an error log. I will contact the hosting company to for it. I did download a debugging plugin just in case I wasn’t doing it correctly. I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear from host support.

@threadi I changed the statement on WP_DEBUG to true. Unfortunately, I got “Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.” again. There was no log that showed on the front end nor the back end.

@jdembowski Sounds great. Thank you for moving. As for the shortened URL, the reason I did that was because the forums here tend to get indexed into google with the URL.

I’m still looking for a good replacement for my current plugin. If anyone has any recommendations, that would be wonderful.

Yes I did.
1) I did switch to the default wordpress theme. The infinite loading icon is still there with the grayed out checkout area.
2) I did Temporarily deactivate all plugins.

I have also additionally reverted to an older version of woocommerce. Version 3.7.1 . It still is grayed out.

I reached out to my hosting company’s tech support and they spent an hour and a half with me on troubleshooting and testing.

I’m so frustrated and cannot figure out why this is not working.

I changed the theme to Twenty Nineteen and the Checkout section is ghosted/grayed out. The spinner loading icon is not there. Due to the area being grayed out, I cannot click on the PayPal Links to check out.

Looks like it happens with all wordpress sites. I found and purchased a plugin called perfmatters. It works. Although I wish there was a script to through functions.php.

I have had all my plugins turned off and it still shows. So that means that there’s no code that depends on it (so I believe).

I did some digging around and found out that a lot of people are calling it render-blocking script and are either totally removing it or putting it down in the footer. I need it totally removed from just one page.

Here is an example of what I found but it doesn’t totally help because I just need the script removed from one page – not the whole site.

Yes I am editing this through the regular edit screen. It is a page, not a post (not sure if that makes a difference). Other pages worked fine. Just the homepage seems to not work when i click which plugins i want turned on and off.

I checked my console and the error it shows is server is “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()” which is looking for a font from a css.

I cleared ALL my cache. turned off all the plugins and changed the theme to the default wordpress theme. I tested with both wordpress default theme and with mine.
