This is an issue that needs to be addressed. We can’t watch for it if there is no clue before doing the update.

And you can’t blame developers on Themetrust or commercial sites for stepping on themes on the WordPress respository, when the other themes were in use before the new WordPress repository themes existed.

Dakay, what I have had to do in both situations is reupload the original theme and let my child themes take care of customization. I hope you had backups of the theme. Or go get the original files from the source if you can. Good luck!

Well, that said, I found another client’s site that has this issue! So it’s becoming more common. Looks like Dakay is dealing with it too! So it definitely is an issue for we WordPress site administrators, regardless of where the theme is sourced. There should be some way to check this.

Second client’s site uses a theme called Envision.

Somehow the script needs to check source or files before triggering a download that rewrites your entire theme and breaks your site. There is NO WAY to tell the source of the new theme when doing that update. In fact, the theme update image showed the thumbnail for the original Craft and Envision themes in both cases.

Kind of makes doing site updates a bit more uncertain than usual.

Me too! I need it to be longer. Changing the theme excerpt length in functions.php doesn’t seem to make any difference. Is there a way to do this?

Client still wants the images to open in a thickbox popup, as the Next Gen Gallery does. Is this possible? Please advise.

This has been a very handy plugin and seems to work well.

I figured out how to add new fields to the registration form in the register-forms.php file, but the content is not showing up in the User’s List. Is there any way to get the info in these new fields to show up in my User’s list for admin review on the backend. Particularly want the name to come through, not just User name. Lot no. would be nice.

First off, thanks much for developing this plugin. It was just what the client was asking for.

Thanks to the clues above, I have successfully added links to my images in the carousel and finally have the styling working the way I want. The last interaction I’d like to have is have the images open in thickbox mode as the do on the NextGen Gallery. Is there any way to use that effect in the Carousel?
