Well just normal users can not post articles. You will have to give the users you want to be able to write articles (posts) etc… specific roles.

To me it sounds to be something wrong with the database. Have you check it to be allright? No tables crashed?

1. Have you edited any files after the install?

2. Did you uploaded all the wordpress files, control check?

3. Is the theme you are using fully working, if not using the default of course?

4. No tables in the database hasn’t crashed?

5. If you found all these things to be “allright”, I suggest you ask your host

I only see one “Home” in the main nav bar now.

1. First control check that you haven’t made two “Home” pages in mistake.

2. Second, it might be something with wrong with the template.

If I have understood you correctly you have actually made two “Home” pages, but the other one you set to “Private” (Private Page)?

Or no by the way…. I Guess you have created just two normal pages, since private pages should only be visible to you…

I see you got 3 “Home” links pointing to the same page (main page).

The 2 “Home” in the main nav bar is both pointing to “https://onetexashome.com”

You want one of them to point to for example:
“https://onetexashome.com/home.php”? and remove the other one?

Or you just want to remove one of the “Home” links in the main nav bar and let the other one be like it is now?

Hmm, can you describe a bit more what you mean with this:

“If I try to make one private it says private.”
