Not sure which version we were running, since I had to remove the plugin. I was alerted to problems when I logged in to the Dashboard and WordFence was acting as if I’d just installed it. Asking to take the tour, and then not being able to connect to their noc1.wordfence.com server. We also use BackupBuddy which was failing when exporting the database.

Needless to say, I was concerned and went through a number of steps to determine what the problem was. After removing WordFence and dropping the WF tables from the database, all seems to be back to normal.

I had deleted and reinstalled the plugin, so I’m pretty certain there was a database corruption issue. Has anyone seen this before?

I was running a free install of WordFence, but purchased an API Key thinking that would solve the problem. I’m happy to return to free if this isn’t a major issue.

    Hi,

I have not heard of this before, but DB corruption sounds like a good guess. Check that your web server is OK on disk space.

Disk space and memory are good. So far, everything seems to check out. Wordfence ran a scan once things were working again and came up with a malware URL concern in some backup files, but nothing more serious than that.
