Is there a way to keep the plug-in from counting people who refresh the page over and over again to “hack” an entry to becoming the most popular one on the blog?

I’m not sure if a whole separate links section would be the best way to approach this.

One key aspect of Reddit is the ability to simply post a question or story as in their “text” submissions.

Maybe a custom post type with some sort of ratings plugin (GD star rating?) so that all blog entries, links, comments can be rated and sorted.

Buddypress Links kind of works, but is still very much in progress.

Of course we are! It would be wonderful to have a simple Reddit style plug-in to implement links into a buddypress system, one that syncs up with the exsisting blogs on the site. That would be amazing.

I think splitting the cost of hiring a developer sounds like a great idea. How do we proceed?

It would be great to have a robust voting plugin that allows blog content to be voted as well as status updates voted on as well.

The problem I’m noticing is that users want to be able to tell who’se responded to their votes, their comments, who’se voted on something, from a single place.

Yeah, I’m looking for a solution too.

I wish more commenting systems would default to “post a comment” instead of “0 comments” or “no comments” in a blog entry.

Psychologically it frustrates readers and bloggers.

Hi Shane- I looked at these sections already, and don’t see any plugin that allows for a non-flashed based audio player. Will an HTML5 audio player be in WordPress 3.0?

Anyone know of any plugins or solutions to create a list of users based on their geolocation? Like a way for users to find each other.
