think i might kick off a subdomain and test the ‘one click’ install – see what happens and what you get for wp install
– at the moment it won’t work because of problems created by ie sp2 (though i use firefox) apparently need sorting.
sweden might be guinea piging (?(sp)) .

just to expand.
the result page is displayed and a passowrd is allocated. the login page is reached via the link, though the css has snapped, login links but to a plain text ‘no input file specified’.
the tables are there, but then they were specified manually, wp-settings seems to miss when finding the necessary details for the domain (and browser?).
when opening the site it says, again in plain text, welcome to (the host).

nice one. though the original .mo was utf-8, odd. maybe i missed something in poedit when creating the catalog. who knows ??

did you have to change the cr/lf conversion to suit mac?

nope, just replace it, though perhaps indicate the change in charset.

it would be a huge step forward in the swedish localisation if you were willing to place your .po on the wiki, it being written by a swede and not an englishman for starters and being far more recognisable as the swedish common to users with that mother tongue for that.

you’ve no proper dtd before your tags including the namespace and this’ll place browsers in quirks mode, which is problematic from the get go. no meta with the charset defined either, you can even define sv as your language in the template directly. might help.

not sure really.
i haven’t upgraded to mingus yet but changed the code in the template to utf-8 and didn’t notice any changes in those posts i’ve written in swedish or swedish characters used in other posts.
the .po/.mo is worked in utf-8 as standard and that probably has a bearing on settings.

“Comment” in swedish is “Kommentar”, and not “Komment”.
yes it is.
the .mo will available for download when i get five minutes.
the swedish trans is def. beta, spelling etc needs checking. plus the two bad tokens need addressing.

Same situation for the Swedish trans.
Though the number of elements translated that were previously hidden has been reduced. Will work on the latest .pot soon.
sv_SE is the language/country code placed in WPLANG, works when substituted for en_US in wp-l10n.php.
That’s a clean install of 1.2 rc1 and and upgrade to 05-14.

the .mo i’ve done is running in a clean install of 1.2 beta and isn’t fully put through.

it’s probably worth waiting until the devs have 1.2 off their hands and for a complete .pot to created before continuing with .mo’s
i’m sure cetain things must have changed ‘behind the curtain’ of wp and that we’re working on older strings.
