In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Having many sync problems in 2.0.3This depends on what your System of Record is set to now as of ver. 2.0. If it is set to Square, it will fetch the stock from Square. If you have your products in Square and update everything from Square, be sure your System of Record is Square. If you have your products originating from WooCommerce and update your settings from WooCommerce, have it set to WooCommerce.
When having the System of Record as WooCommerce it still happens. You do an initial sync and it will import all the items from WooCommerce to Square but 80% or so of them don’t import the stock level and it’s just set as ‘-‘, the same as 0. Gradually Square will report to WooCommerce that the stock level is – for everything and change the stock on WooCommerce despite WooCommerce being the System of Record. It’s all completely broken and I’m not going to use it until all this is fixed…

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Having many sync problems in 2.0.3Thank you Melinda, I’ve started a WooCommerce ticket, quoting this forum thread. I’ve located the (new) Square logs in WooCommerce and I’m happy to send them when I receive details of how you want them sent ??
Oh no, sorry, I reported it as in I want the thread deleted as it serves no purpose really and I can’t edit it any more. At the time I reported it I thought I would be able to enter a report reason ??
Thanks
I updated because 1.0.38 doesn’t work any more, nothing updates either way no matter what you do. I would just like a working version of version 1, at the moment it’s just totally turned off and I am having to look for a Square alternative while manually updating every sale from the shop. The other Square plugin not provided by Woocommerce is also not suitable as it completely wrecks prices because it doesn’t take tax into account.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Is 1.0.38 safe to install now?I downgraded back to 1.0.38 and none of my stock will sync with the stock on Square any more. Also customer’s orders totally fail when they try to pay by Square so it’s a total mess at the moment. I’d hold off for now….
I’ve now rolled back to the 1.038 version because 2.0.1 not only wasn’t syncing to Square, but it’s also wrecked the prices on over 200 sale items by overwriting the Regular Price and deleting the sale prices. If you can give me a link to install 2.0.1 again I’ll do it for you, perhaps on a test site if I can create one.
I will do this, thanks.
1.0.38 automatically generates concatenated variation names from multiple attributes
That’s only for creating Variations if multiple attributes are selected on a Variable Product. For standard products it just ignores all the attributes and doesn’t add them to the item. However on all my standard products it says ‘Products with more than one attribute cannot be synced with Square.’. If going forward with the 2.0 versions standard products with more than one attribute can’t be synced then 99% of Woocommerce shops won’t work with the plugin going forward. I know I wouldn’t use the plugin any more and therefore wouldn’t use Square either.

I am getting the same thing. ‘Country’ specific WordPress updates for the UK are set up as GB (for Great Britain) rather than UK. WooCommerce Square needs to add GB to the list of non-flagged country codes..

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Buying on Woocommerce doesn’t update Square stockI’m also finding now that updating prices or stock manually then saving doesn’t do anything anymore either.
Hi @mbrsolution , please actually read my message because I don’t need a new support thread. I am just confirming that like @apblog the solution was to stop blocking ‘fake’ googlebots.
I also unchecked ‘Block Fake Googlebots’ and suddenly my Yoast XML sitemap was accessible by real Googlebot too and the problem was solved. It’s seeing the real googlebot as fake too…
Thanks ‘arry
I’ll have a deeper look at the system with the info you’ve given me. This is after the current update

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Buttons aren't working on Cart PageFor me only the Proceed To Checkout button doesn’t work after the update. No errors in Developer Tools. When you click it:
<input type="submit" class="checkout-button button alt wc-forward" name="proceed" value="Proceed to Checkout" clicked="true">
Clicked goes to “true” and it flashes in Developer Tools every time you click. However it’s not going to the checkout page…
