For now, I decided to use Wysiwyg editor where feasible.

I also found that acf have this setting “stripslashes” for filter acf/settings

stripslashes boolean 5.0.0 Runs the function stripslashes on all $_POST data. Some servers / WP instals may require this extra functioanlity. Defaults to false.

Btw, is this a right place to receive support for paid AF pro?

Even more interesting finding is that when the submission is displayed as a post, it does not show those slashes.

I did contact Bluehost customer service they were polite but did not know what the issue may be. We tried different versions of PHP but the problem persisted.

To add more clarification, it only happens to strings passed from field’s values, the text typed by me in “success message” wysiwyg editor displays everything perfectly. Now I wonder if it is ACF issue?

I’m using Bluehost. If I have to believe them it says PHP 7.2 (ea-php72) by my domain.
