In reply to: [WordPress Backup to Dropbox] Backup states "complete" after 59%Seems like the new update does something so that the already uploaded files are recognized. It does incremential backups again. ??
But the percentage is still wrong (currently at 59% with 5139 files processed), even after running several backups.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WordPress Backup to Dropbox] Backup states "complete" after 59%Okay, so if I understand right, the number is guessed and will be adapted to calculate the percentage for the next run. But that does not happen here. My backups run at 4AM and it seems that the plugin does not remember what it already backed up (dropbox tells me every morning, that > 1500 files were changed) and also does not store the number of total files.
After the last run (I quoted parts of the log in the first post) it now logs this:
06:08:02: A total of 14MB of memory was used to complete this backup. 06:08:02: A total of 6079 files were processed. 06:08:02: Backup complete. 06:07:56: Approximately 59% complete. View uploaded files? 06:07:50: Approximately 59% complete. View uploaded files? 06:07:30: Creating SQL backup of your WordPress plugins. 06:06:38: Creating SQL backup of your WordPress core. 06:06:34: There has been no backup activity for a long time. Attempting to resume the backup. 06:06:34: There has been no backup activity for a long time. Attempting to resume the backup. 06:01:08: A total of 21MB of memory was used to complete this backup. 06:01:08: A total of 5135 files were processed. 06:01:08: Backup complete. 06:01:05: Approximately 51% complete. View uploaded files?
And I did not click anything or changed any setting or touched any of the files in the dropbox.

Okay, I found what was wrong on my installation. I use the plugin “Spam Free WordPress” – and that Plugin overrides these controls. You have to modify the SPW-Code or check the “Close Pingbacks” Box in sfw-Settings. It also disabled your blog pinging other blogs – but since I don’t want this spammy things, I may as well also disable pinging others.Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: [WordPress Dashboard Tweeter] Nice Twitter managementNo, it’s a german install. But I think the translation is misleading (as would be the english text if there would be something like “update status” – I didn’t check).
By “update status” or “Status aktualisieren” I think of something technical concerning the plugin. Maybe that I should press the button to refresh the timeline or list of replys or something. But I don’t think of an action I could do as a user. Something like “create new tweet” or “send new tweet” (or “neuen Tweet verfassen” / “Tweet abschicken” in german) would describe the purpose of the button better, I think. ??

In reply to: [WordPress Dashboard Tweeter] Nice Twitter managementOkay… I just didn’t see the “Status aktualisieren”-Button. That translation didn’t let me think of “send new tweet” … but I thought something like “refresh information” when I read it.
