I issued a post yesterday and the Subscriptions notification in Jetpack did not work. What is happening? Please resolve this. This is about the sixth time this has happened. It stopped working (sometime in Sept.) then one post worked on November 7th, and then they stopped again. I see comments by others that this is happening to them also.
I am trying to make a major push on my site and this is hurting me.

Thank you. Rex

In reply to: Bad Behavior rejects Google crawlsBB was blocking Google on my site also. I receive excellent Google rankings within my content niche and then 3 days ago – Boom. I found I was receiving tons of crawl errors. I went into Fetch as Googlebot and I received an error for a recent page. The error code referenced Bad Behavior. Once BB was off my system, the error disappeared.
What is going on? My site – https://hopefaithprayer.com/
BB, we love you but please stop dissing Google! I was using Version: 2.0.43 and the latest WordPress.
I too want to add this function to Pages. My posts are working wonderfully but the pages do not.
What code do I need to insert and where does it go? Sorry, I am not a good coder. I am using the Atahualpa theme – https://wordpress.bytesforall.com/?p=98
My site is https://hopefaithprayer.com/

In reply to: WordPress.com Stats issueThe error message is now gone and the stats are back up, but the numbers are changing all over the board. Older values are now different, and now each time I refresh my page the numbers change from one set of values to another. In addition, the numbers on my Dashboard window differ from the main Stats page, which differs from the total at the bottom and from the Summary Tables page.
PS I do not use the Jetpack.
I love WordPress Stats; bring it back.

In reply to: Looking for your feedbackVery good, very clear, and very organized. It give the feel of credible old money. And your content is good. I would have watched the full video except that it is already too late. Again it is very readable and clean. Very Web 2ish. I like the color palette also – soft but not drab, and with the bold font it still popped enough.
Who did your site? Well done. I am going to save it on my like list. And, I want to finish the video..thanks. Oh, and good job on the favicon. It finishes it off. I hope your insight and services are as good as your graphics. I am also going to have my wife look at your site, she is an investor (small time).

In reply to: Looking for plugin which displays text in different languagesDoes having multiple language pages get you in trouble with the likes of Google? I too want to do this but I’ve heard that having duplicate pages can get you kicked out.

In reply to: Site Viewed at Other Resolutions – CommentsI added a lot more white space, by widening the side columns and reducing the width of the center column. It reads much better. You could not see the forest for the trees. Thanks

In reply to: A creative writer’s blog–simple, classy, readable.I have no agenda. I like your site.
Maybe you can add a section on zombie health tips, favorite zombie recipes, or a personal interest section highlighting zombies that you know who are struggling with incipient diabetes….just trying to help.

In reply to: A creative writer’s blog–simple, classy, readable.Don’t get me wrong. I like the black bars. They just might be too strong.
One more SEO thought – having a central topic or theme helps in building a high search rating on that particular subject. If the topics are more varied or general it hurts, because your (keyword) emphasis is diluted. I get very high search ratings because my content is focused very heavily on things faith. So, any searches including the words hope, faith, word, etc., give me page one search results. I didn’t do this on purpose; it just happened. Faith is my focus. Content is king, and focused content is divine.
Still another thought, everyone says that a consistent content flow is absolutely essential. Keep the articles coming! Write them and schedule the publish dates for a consistent even release. I make sure that I release something every 2 or 3 days.
The plugin Google XML Sitemaps works great, so does WordPress.com Stats in managing and tracking search results.

In reply to: A creative writer’s blog–simple, classy, readable.Interesting, your site has a similar feel to mine, and our focus is similar – content, content, and content. Readability is key!
I like your site and will bookmark it to see your progress. I want to track how you respond to things. Again, we seem to have a similar design attitude. I hope you agree and that you think that is positive.
One immediate comment – your horizontal black separation bars seem to strong. They are overpowering the other page elements. They need to be strong enough to separate and organize but not too strong to detract.
Sometimes, it is helpful to squint with your eyes at something and see what stands out. There should be balance, not mush, but balance.
There is so much about your site that I like. Oh, whenever you create a link to another site, i.e. Moleskin (great notebooks by the way), have them open in another tab so you don’t lose the individual to that other site.
And another thing, I am learning that post/page titles are very very important for higher SEO. They need to be catchy to pull you in but they should pull from words and thoughts in the article. If someone were to find the article in a search, would words in the title be ones that they would think of using as keywords?
Enough, God bless

In reply to: Need honest feedback on my site!!! :)Hello, great start and good content. Here are my comments. They are negative because those are the ones that help. Encouragement is fine, but suggestions bring improvement.
1. I don’t like the bullet points at the beginning under your horizontal page menu. Put the following items somewhere else.
* Don’t buy Temptations!
* Skinny Tip #6
* Skinny Tip #5
* Review: The Biggest Loser Season 8 Week 9
* Skinny Tip #4
2. I am viewing at 1600×1200. The right side column is too wide compared to the center column. I know you are doing it because of the double column below but it makes the single Categories section look funky.
3. Figure out how to align your blog title and byline, your page menu, and post title/text. It will visually clean up your ‘first look.’Beat up my site if you desire. I got a recommendation to increase my line height the other day and it has helped my site.
