In reply to: [WP Updates Notifier] Deactivation Notice in WP 5.3.2Updated and received the same error. Activated the plugin and fired a test notification which worked as normal.

Given the issues with recent NextGen releases that I’ve read about on this support forum, I’ve stayed with NextGen 3.1.7 with WP 5.1.1 and PHP 7.2. Lightboxes and slideshows are working.

Thanks, I’m glad to know that singlepics are a priority for you to get working, I look forward to being able to use single images in NextGEN Gallery blocks.

In reply to: [Twenty Nineteen] Dark Mode?I would appreciate having a dark color scheme option for this theme as well!
I should add that the reason I’ve used the above steps to add the singlepic (as a Gallery block) is because there does not seem to be a means to add them with a NextGEN Gallery block. When I add a NextGEN Gallery block, I don’t have the option of adding a single photo only Basic Thumbnails, Basic Slideshow, Basic ImageBrowser, or Basic TagCloud.
What I see happening is that when I add a Gallery block, an empty Gallery block is created and the image shows up in a NextGEN Gallery block. Attempting to add the second singlepic later on winds up putting the singlepic into the first NextGEN Gallery block. An ugly hack to work around this is to duplicate the NextGEN Gallery block and then delete one of the singlepics in each of the blocks, so now I have two independent NextGEN Gallery blocks with a single image that I can manage, but this is cumbersome at best.
Thanks for the replies and updates, I’ll stick with 1.9.13 for now while you attend to some of the other known issues on your list.

I was bugged by this as well. Turns out there is a simple fix:
Under Gallery / Options / Gallery
Uncheck “Integrate slideshow”
The annoying links go away and you’re left with just an image list.
