Saw this post and thought I’d help you and help myself at the same time :p I’ve written a new script to import from MT to WP that does not use the export feature. Instead, it imports directly from the database. If you use mySQL in your MT install, then the script would work for you. I’ve already used it to import my MT install to WP and it worked fine for me. I’d like to see if it would work for you since if it doesn’t, I’d like to improve the script to the point where it does work for you. You can get the script from https://www.farook.org/mt2wp.phps

I’d be happy to work on this since I was actually working on an MT to b2evo importer before I gave up on that and moved straight on to WP :p But I’ll try to work on this over the next few days and get you something that you can test out at your end ??

It probably does but you can’t find the lines mentioned in the readme file for the install instructions :p I actually rewrote the wholet thing as a plugin for 1.2 and am calling it WP Blacklist 1.2. I’ve asked Mark whether he wants the source back so that he can continue development or whether I can distribute it on my own and continue development and once I hear from him, I’ll either release it or he will ??

Thanks to much testing by lomara, I have been able to improve the script tremendously and now we know that the script works for at least two people ?? The updated version can be got from https://www.farook.org/mt2wp.phps

Ooops, looks as if this is more likely me not escaping quotes and stuff more than anything else :p I’ll fix that in a jiffy and e-mail you a new script – serves me right for not using categories that much :p
