Hi! Great suggestion. We don’t currently have this feature but a workaround is to configure a response assistant in your Facebook Page Settings
Go to Page –> Settings –> Messaging
Then scroll down to “Response Assistant”. You can send instant replies to anyone who messages your Page. Instant replies are a good way to let people know that you’ll respond soon.
Hi anvilhouse,
Unfortunately, this is not a feature that is supported right now. We’ve put in this as a feature request, but cannot guarantee a timeline. Thank you for understanding.

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] Can’t close the chatHi hellfiremichi,
Thank you for reporting this issue. We have informed the Messenger team of this and they are looking into it. I see you have removed it from your site since you first reported the issue. Do you mind re-adding it so that our team can look into it some more? Can you share what theme you are using on your site?
Thank you!

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] change positionHi There,
We currently do not supporting moving the plugin. Others have played around with the CSS to move it. You can see this as a reference: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48657783/facebook-customer-chat-plugin-override-on-top-of-website
However, since this is constantly under development, it might change, and move the position you set.
Marking this as resolved. If it is still an issue, please reopen or create a new ticket. Thank you.
This is super helpful. A few more follow up questions:
– The Messenger customer chat plugin shows “Chat” instead of “Chat Now”. This implies you are not logged into Facebook at the moment. In the screenshots you shared, are you logged into Facebook on that browser/session?
– What happens when you click “Done” on the popup? Does it close and log you in?
– What browser and operating system are you using?
– Do you have any extensions on your browser running? Please share them all here.Look forward to your response. Thank you!
Hi sbhthmarketing,
I went to check your website and did not see the Messenger customer chat plugin, so I couldn’t test it. However, I was able to message the page from Messenger and it worked. The error you saw might have been an intermittent issue.
Can you please try again and confirm that messages are not going through? If they are not, please leave the plugin on your website so we can test.
Thank you!
Hi JustJo,
I’m sorry you are running into this issue. I’d like to work with you to debug it.
I see you have reported 2 sites facing this issue:
https://raeroach.com
https://satsangwellness.comBoth of them have the Messenger customer chat plugin installed. That is great.
When I try to visit the websites logged into Facebook, I am greeted with the “Chat Now” button. I click on that button and I see a popup asking me to “Continue as…” This is expected behavior. When I am logged out of Facebook, I see a button that says “Chat”. Clicking on it opens a popup asking me to login to Facebook. After successful login, the window closes and the Messenger customer chat plugin shows “Chat Now”.
What are you seeing? Which step of the process is broken for you currently?
If the issue is no longer there, I can resolve this ticket.Thank you,

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] frame-ancestors issueHi Frozendiary,
I visited your website and I see the Messenger customer chat plugin working. I’m going to mark this issue as being resolved. If it is not, please comment back here or create a new issue.
Thank you!
Hi Ulises,
Most signed-in users will only have to click the “Chat Now” button itself to opt in, without having to re-confirm with the popup. It takes a bit of a training period, so the more users who click your page’s plugin the less likely it will be to see the interstitial.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Facebook Chat Plugin - Live Chat Plugin for WordPress] frame-ancestors issueSorry you are seeing that error. You will need to make sure your Content Security Policy is set properly to allow the Messenger customer chat to show up. Please see the following questions:
If those aren’t helping, make sure your website has the following rules: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/messenger-platform/webview/extensions#webview_on_web

In reply to: [Facebook] [Plugin: Facebook] Publish as Author Doesn't Stay SelectedHey folks, this gets disabled if there’s a Facebook API error.
We’re working on a couple of things to make this flow easier.
Please keep your eyes peeled for an update to the plugin next week and follow up with the results you get.
Thanks
