I fixed it by changing to a different image plug-in. Seems to be a bug in compatibility between my css code, the plugin and IE8

Actually in kind of a duh! moment I just put a site title in temporarily then connected to wp.com to enable jetpack and voila! Then I just went back and deleted the site title, and seems to be working.

I think it’s trying to tell you that your site name is blank in your general settings of you wordpress admin panel. I am also getting the message, but I left my site name blank on purpose because I wanted my own jpeg in my banner for my pages as opposed to the bland text one generated by wordpress. Anyone with a solution or workaround for this?

I forgot to mention that I also want to eventually move my site to hostgator from godaddy. I was assuming I should approach this by moving my blog to new domain name first on same provider (I have like 9 months left on prepaid hosting x 2), get that working right, then move to new provider. Is that right?
