In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 total cache with oxygen builderThanks for the feedback, I tried the new exceptions, it didn’t make a difference. Oxygen Builder gives the following advice on caching:
“Working with Caching and Optimization Plugins
Depending on the combination and minification settings set within caching and optimization plugins and services, they could cause issues with some of Oxygen’s features when working with these performance plugins/services. Therefore, adding the following exclusions to a site may help restore Oxygen’s functionalities on the front end:
CSS Exclusions:
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/oxygen.css
JS Exclusions:
- /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/vendor/aos/aos.js
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/vendor/unslider/jquery.event.move.js
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/vendor/unslider/unslider-min.js
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/vendor/unslider/jquery.event.swipe.js
- /wp-content/plugins/oxygen/component-framework/vendor/alpine/alpinejs3.10.5.js”
So I tried that also, but to no avail ??

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] W3 total cache with oxygen builderAbove solution did not fix the issue with Oxygen Builder for me. When the W3 Total Cache plugin is enabled, the Oxygen Builder template editor gives a blank window. (default settings)
“Can you please share if Page Caching and Minify are enabled for the logged in users?”
Page cache is disabled for logged in users by default.
I disabled Minify for logged in users, still a blank screen.

In reply to: [Insert Pages] only works for adminsFYI: I discovered today that the problems were caused by Events Manager.
Strange enough, everything went well until I started making Events. This is a custom post type that somehow messes up the functionality of Insert Pages. I installed another Event managing plugin and all is fine.

In reply to: [Insert Pages] only works for admins**update**
I did a fresh install of a copy of the the site, installed ‘Insert Pages’ and added all the plug ins that are acctive on the site and it still works fine. This must be something buggy in the site, probably from a server transfer. As this is NOT something that is wrong with your plugin, I want to thank you for your time, there is no need for further research or help from your side.

In reply to: [Insert Pages] only works for adminsThanks for the reply, I have sent the credentials to the e-mail adresses you provided.
Now, the site is in Dutch, which will probably cause you some extra difficulty. I apologise for that. to make things easier, I posted a frontpage memo called ‘test of insert pages’ where I did an insert of a manual. (a regular type post) As you can see, it shows the manual when logged in as admin, but not as a regular user.
Thanks in advance for the effort, really appreciate your help!
I’m not saying this is a bug; though it makes sense from a users perspective, that, if attaching a group switches visibility to ‘private, changing it back to ‘no group attached also changes the visibility status to ‘public’ again. I want to add a line or two to the code that controls the group attachment that forces this behaviour and was hoping you would be able to help me with that. Never mind, I’ll figure it out myself, and post the fix here for those interested when I’m ready. Thanks for the trouble.
Thanks for the efforts so far, this is what I do:
I create an event in Events Manager. No location specified, date is a month from now, the whole day. I enable registration and set available seats at 10. In the dropdown ‘Group Ownership’, I select a private group.
I publish the event; it is published and gets visibilty status ‘private’
Now, I set ‘Group ownership’ to: ‘no group attached’ and save the event.
Visibility status stays on ‘private’ , this should fall back to ‘public’ so everybody has access to it again. Instead, effectively this makes the event invisible to everybody but the creator.
Alternatively, I create an event with no group attached, which is then automatically published with visibility status ‘public’.
Staying in the Event Manager, I select a group and save the event. Visibility status switches to ‘private’.
Now, I set ownership back to ‘no groups attached’ and save. Visibility status remains private again.(There may be slight discrepancies in the terms used in the Events Manager window, because I am working with a Dutch translation)
As far as I know the latest versions, according to my plugin directory
Events manager 5.5.5 and Buddypress 2.1.1
Yes, I should have mentioned that. I am using Event manager together with Buddypress, BBpress, RT Media and Mailpoet. (and a couple of other plugins that should not affect group settings)
