In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Services title missing in dropdown 3.11.2FYI: I had to restore a previous backup of the plugins, so that the menu would work properly until you are able to fix the problem. The site is now using version 3.10.7.

In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Calender bug one day ahead in firefoxSadly, he has known about this problem for well over a year. I’ve sent screenshots, documentation, descriptions and reported the problem multiple times. The problem began around March 2021 in an update where he redesigned the date entry UI, which contained the new bug. He has never fixed the problem. I think it’s pretty clear he has no intention of fixing the problem. Very disappointing, since he had been quite responsive and helpful before this problem started. Thankfully, my client’s site where I’m using this doesn’t require much use of the plugin, but if that changes I will probably change to another plugin.

In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Calender bug one day ahead in firefoxI have complained several times about this. Others have complained too. I have sent him screenshots, documentation, descriptions of the problem more than once, but for some reason he never bothers to fix it. It sure would be nice if he would.

In reply to: [PHP Compatibility Checker] The Future of PHP Compatibility CheckerHi Malae and Subrata,
Thanks very much for your advice. I deleted the top directory (after downloading a backup, just in case) and it worked — it’s no longer in the plugins list on the admin side, and there don’t seem to be any problems with the site as a result.
I did run some scans (and grateful for having this plugin when I did!) but because of the way the site is installed, I don’t have access to PHPadmin or something similar, so I’ll have to leave the records in there for now.
I’m curious why renaming the top directory to _php-compatibility-checker or php-compatibility-checker-disabled didn’t block it from showing up in the plugins list?
Again, many thanks for the use of the plugin and for the help in uninstalling it. ??

Howevere. we are now getting a message: The Plugin “PHP Compatibility Checker” appears to be abandoned (updated 2019-07-31, tested to WP 5.2.11).Not only does this seem like an abandoned plugin, but I can’t find a way to uninstall it. When I Deactivate it and then click Delete, it goes into an endless loop and never deletes it. I’ve tried disabling the plugin directory via FTP but it persists in the plugin list.
Can the developers (or anyone?) please advise how to uninstall this plugin?

In reply to: [Easy Appointments] Dates selected show as the day beforeHi Nikola,
I updated the plugin, but I’m still seeing the same problem. I select a date, but the date in the little calendar shows as the day before. When I save the change, it has the correct dates, but not when I’m editing.
I’m in North America, 5 hours earlier than UT. Is it possible this is a time zone issue?

In reply to: [Blog Designer] Breaks iframe?Hello, my apologies for not getting back. Work on that site has been on the back burner for a while to work on other projects. I’ll create another ticket if/when I get back to it and still have the problem. Thank you for your help.
Hi Gerroald and thanks for your reply.
I disabled Wordfence and tried it again, but it’s still bouncing me out to the site’s home page.
Right… so I guess that means it’s not happening within Wordfence’s options.
Thanks for the help!
So I guess, unless anyone has any other suggestions, and even though the issue is not yet resolved, as such, this thread can be marked as finished. Thanks for your help.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Installing WordPress on subdomain of Joomla siteMaybe the procedure I went through with my web host is similar to what you need to do. I went into my web hosting account (not cPanel), went to Domains and then Addon Domains (since the domain is registered externally, not with them).
I clicked the addon domain I was using and it showed the subdomains for that domain. Then I clicked the DNS tab.
I scrolled down past the nameservers and clicked the button for Advanced Options. This showed me a bunch of stuff I don’t pretend to understand ?? but the section I needed to use was called “A (Host)”. It showed a record there for the addon domain name. I had to Add a Record there that was [subdomain.addondomain.com]. I also entered the IP that was the same IP address as the addon domain. I was told to leave the TTL field as-is.
I hope that helps!

In reply to: Installing WordPress on subdomain of Joomla siteJNashHawkins, thank you for the idea. I didn’t realize I had to do that through my hosting account (as opposed to the cPanel). I called my web host and they walked me through creating a new A-record for the subdomain in my hosting account, and it worked perfectly.
I also reinstalled Joomla to its own directory off of public_html and recreated the subdomain in a directory off of p_h as well. I successfully installed WordPress in the subdomain and the Joomla site remains intact.
Thanks very much for the help! ??

In reply to: Installing WordPress on subdomain of Joomla siteStef: That link goes to a page to show how to move a WP site *to* the root directory, which is not what I was trying to do.
In any case, I solved it – see my next reply. Thanks for your help!

In reply to: Installing WordPress on subdomain of Joomla siteThanks Stef, yes that’s what I thought (about the theme).
The URL I’m trying to access it with is (example) https://wpsub.joomlasitedomain.com
If I just type https://joomlasitedomain.com it shows the Joomla site, no problem. I can login to it too.
In File Manager, I can see the directory for wpsub.joomlasitesomain.com in the root directory, and the joomlasitedomain.com directory is a separate directory. WordPress seems to be installed correctly in the wpsub… directory.
