Yes there does seem to be some preference for FF. I have had some issues with FF too, I don’t think it’s the greatest thing out there, so I don’t use it. In addition, the vast majority of my readership is still using IE, so I do have to be accomodating to them.

Luckily, I have not found major compatibility issues with WP and IE. Usually just a tweak here or there. The biggest problem I have had is with the dashboard, which remains unresolved, so I just worked around and got a hack.

Have you tried clicking the “lost password?” link in the login screen? Do you get a new pw? Does that work?

Hopefully we can help narrow down the problem. ??

Is your password caps-sensitive? Caps lock on?
What is the “broken image” that you see – can you see the dashboard at all?
Did the password ever work, or is this the first time you’ve tried logging on?
Perhaps ask your host to reset the password.

And also, accounts are currently free, so you can always give it a shot, and if there’s nothing interesting there, you haven’t lost any thing. ??

-Very easy to use/upload photos
-You can add other Flickr members to your contact list, so you can see their new pictures when they upload them, and they can see yours
-Your contacts are listed, so it’s easier for users to browse to your album, or browse to others, etc.
-Users can leave comments
-Bloggers using the badge can choose to display their own photos, or random photos from others – kinda cool to discover new things.

I’m sure there are lots of other cool things that Flickr can do now, and will be able to do in the future, but those are just a few of the features that I like. ??

What about deleting index.php from your WP directory, and substituting an appropriate index.html page with the hiatus information? Though I think someone might be able to visit a page they’ve bookmarked…
