  • Great! Eagerly awaiting what you might end up finding that might help resolve this issue for us!

We’re having this same issue, @azordell, did you ever have this resolved? We’re having the same “ghost” events happening every once in awhile. Events that don’t have any contact information attached, only the date, time and room are shown in the database table. And you can only view them in the “search” area of the admin area.

Did you ever resolve this? Thanks!

Just tried to update again, and now I’m seeing this error anywhere on the backend or the frontend of the website:

Fatal error: Interface ‘tad_DI52_Bindings_ResolverInterface’ not found in /home/lisasl5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/vendor/lucatume/di52/src/tad/DI52/Container.php on line 5

Are you able to tell me where to go in the plugin files to edit that text? Thanks!

Our client is having this issue too. However, we are not (at our offices or on our own devices). But our client is seeing this error at their store when they try to do it on multiple computers. We also have the most recent version of the plugin installed.

    Any help?! Thanks!

Oh! And I had two feature requests as well:

    1. an easy way to block out certain days for either holidays or just unavailability. Right now, I know I can make a connection to do this, but it’d be nice to have a place to do it that would block all connections for that specific date range or times.

    2. a “Calendar” view for the appointments area on the backend. It’s nice having the filter to easily show or hide certain appointments, but it’d be amazing to have a simple calendar (kinda like the one in the Reports area) that shows current bookings by service across the month or week.

Thanks! Love this plugin so far!

Awesome! And where would I edit that template? I understand updating the plugin going forward that change would be undone, but I really need to replace that “-” with something else immediately (just for the release of the tool on the client’s site). Can you tell me the file and where in the code I could change that?

    Thanks!

    1. I believe it is. I can give you login credentials to go in and see for yourself if you want, but I’ve gone through and made sure everything that should be filled out is! [Moderator note: Please do not offer credentials for your site nor accept any requests for them.]

    2. Yes. The only URL that’s not filled in is the “payment” one…just because we wouldn’t be using payments for any of the registrations.

    3. No, I understand how and why it works the way it currently does. I’m just thinking that it might be nice for people who are reserving rooms for a community event to maybe have the option to make the event public (if the library sees fit). Maybe they want to advertise their event to the community or something.

The second part of this, is that some people might NOT want to advertise what their events are (maybe it’s a very specific book club or something) and the fact that plugin shows the “Name” of the event on the booking calendar kind of goes against this. It seems like it should be that if someone selects the event to be “Social” that tells the library approving the event that it can go on the public calendar. Inversely, if someone selects “no” to the event being social, then that should hide the name of it from the booking calendar…maybe just show “Reserved” or something on the front end so that people see that they can’t book the time, but not necessarily what is booking the time.

    4. Wonderful! This worked perfectly. Thank you!

I use W3 Total Cache on the backend…so is there a way to fix this issue and still use that caching plugin? Would appreciate a reply even after me taking so long to get back to you!

Yep. I just checked the page and the redirect is enabled. I double-checked all of the settings and everything looks good to me!

Not sure what else I could do? Again, it was working just fine before I updated the plugin. I could provide you with WP credentials to the backend if I have a private way of sending them to you.

    Thanks.

Actually, I’m wrong. That didn’t work either. It displayed the “No Events” message, but when an event would be happening it still would just display the “No Events” message.

Not sure how I can get this to work. It seems like no matter what I set it to, it either doesn’t display the “No Events” message or it displays the “No Events” message and not the current event that’s happening.

Would greatly appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.

Actually, I got to work after some minor tweaking. Instead of retrieving events from “Now” until “The end of time” I selected to retrieve events from “Now” until “Now.” That way it only displays an event that’s currently happening and if there is no event then it displays the “No Events” message.

One additional question: is there any way that I can style the text for just the “No Events” message? Right now, it looks quite different than the styling for the rest of my events and I’d like to style it a little more like the rest of the events. Is there a way that I can target just the styling of that message and change it (font size, color, font family, etc).

    Thanks so much!

That makes sense, but it seems like the code is not working the way you said it would. I changed all the settings for that calendar feed and it is now just showing the next upcoming event on the calendar instead of the current event (or if there is no current event then the “No Events Message.”

Not sure why this might be happening? Would really appreciate any help you might be able to give. Thanks!

I am. For the “Currently Playing” feed I have it set to only show the event that is currently happening. Would this conflict with the “No Events Message?”

My goal would be to show the current event from the calendar feed when it’s happening, and if there’s no current event happening show a default message. Is this possible at all?

    Thanks!
