In reply to: Right-aligned images stick out into right marginThanks! Do you think it’s a bug within the wordpress 2024 theme and if so is there a place I should flag it up?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Right-aligned images stick out into right marginThanks a million Samuel, as your suggestion has worked (I’ve used it on the image of chopped veg, further down the page).
I’ve not applied the fix to the image with the pencils, as I’m curious to know if others are having this issue with wordpress theme 2024
Thank you for the suggestion to clear cache — I believe that did not fix the issue for those three customers using an iPhone.
In case there’s any confusion in how I’m explaining the issue: my current theory is that they see a blank page (with only the message ?“A problem repeatedly occurred”) because perhaps the iPhone, in slow network conditions, will delay the initiation of audio until it can pre-download sufficient data. Just a theory and so I wondered if you were aware of any issues around that.Thank you for your time.
Thank you for your thoughts. Well, I’ve had the same cache and CDN system for a long time. I’m regularly updating plugins and my theme, so it’s hard to know if that’s caused it.
The issue is only happening on the iPhones of 3 customers — at least those are the only ones who have alerted me. On my Huawei and my husband’s Android it’s fine.
Sounds like you’re not aware of any particular issue with iPhones delaying audio?Thank you very much for letting me know ??

Thank you for that clear reply ??

In reply to: [Compact WP Audio Player] Indicate ‘listened to’ / visited hyperlinkAh, OK…. I can tweak CSS if I get some pointers, with trial and error, but I don’t have the tech know-how to work it out from scratch.
If anyone has any tips at any time, I’ll be glad to hear them.
Hmmm, not sure I understand. The page https://anorexiafamily.com/bitesize-complete-playlist/
uses shortcodes for the CP Media Player. For instance:
[cpm-player skin=”classic-skin” width=”100%” playlist=”true” type=”audio”]
[cpm-item file=”https://media.anorexiafamily.com/bitesize/010_100_Welcome_what_youll_find_in_Bitesize.mp3″%5DIntroduction to Bitesize[/cpm-item]
[cpm-item file=”https://media.anorexiafamily.com/bitesize/010_200_Our_story_My_experience.mp3″%5DOur story, so you know what we have in common[/cpm-item]
etc
etc
Did I understand your question? I’d be really glad if there was a way to style it so that users could see where they left off, or what they already listened to on a previous visit.
Many thanks
Eva
That sounds hopeful, thank you for that prompt response.
Currently, the item that is playing does indeed look different. But if someone navigates away and then returns to the page, that information is lost. So I’m wondering if, a bit like with Audible books, there’s a way for the system to remember where someone left off?
The page is on https://anorexiafamily.com/bitesize-complete-playlist/ and needs a log in. I’ll organise that if it’s useful for you to reply.
Thank you!
Eva
Thanks for that really helpful reply ??
And for the tip to use your CAPTCHA plugin to protect when logging into my wordpress panel — I had not thought of that.Given that my moderately small website was hacked in spite of a long, random password, I am glad to have these extra measures in place
Update: I disabled the Easy Hide Login plugin through my web hoster and now everything works as expected.
Is there a setting within the Wp 2FA plugin that would allow me to continue using the Easy Hide?
Otherwise, any thoughts on which gives my website the best protection: 2-factor authentication, or the (secret) login url created by this other plugin?
Thank you
EvaIn case anyone else has the same query and blindness, I found the Disable option by chance, in right hand column of the editor, when the tab in that column is on Document, not Block.
OK thank you, I have done that now, for pages and posts.
But… oh dear, I still cannot see any option to disable the TOC in any metabox. In case I’m not looking in the right place, should I find it on the General, Appearance or Misc tabs? At the top? The bottom?
(For now, I’ve disabled the TOC in the general Auto-Insert setting but obviously I have experimented while having it enabled).Would it be simpler to tell me what the shortcode is, and I could replace all my [no_toc] codes from my previous plugin, to whatever the one for this one is?
I do hope you can help me sort this as EVERYTHING ELSE in this plugin is just wonderful. I really like how extremely customisable it is.
Thank you for your prompt answer.
I can’t find it ! I can see an icon on the editing toolbar (classic)showing the table of contents and in Gutenberg I can see the table of contents too.
Then I can click on the pencil to customise the table of contents, and there are 3 tabs (General, Appearance, Misc) but nowhere do I see “Disable”.Can you direct my eyes please?
Thank you ??Thank you!
