In reply to: [Complianz - GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent] Youtube embed links return 500I also have a problem with YouTube embeds not working properly. in my case, no placeholder appears, just a blank white space until they click accept. The problem is they don’t even know there is a missing video because it’s just blank.
Thanks for your reply. I have a couple of other questions.
- If people ignore the cookie banner, and visit a page with an embedded YouTube video, Complianz is putting a blank canvas over the video with text about enabling marketing cookies to view the content. This doesn’t look very appealing at all. Firstly, there is zero indication it is a video to watch. secondly, why would someone click to enable ‘marketing cookies’ to access hidden content unless I go through all my articles and add a big header saying it’s a video, which I don’t want to do as it’s not in line with my design.
- on mobile, the cooking consent banner appears, then flashes and appears a second time and stays there until they interact. why is it flashing?
- if I use the automatic cookie consent page, would you recommend no indexing it?
- the hidden ‘cookies preferences’ tab is the same colour as my desktop background, and there is no indication that it’s there other than a small rectangle as the bottom of the screen that I doubt anyone will interact with out of curiosity. what do you recommend for that?
thanks

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Where can I find my polls data?ah don’t worry – I found the column giving the poll ID, exported the data to a word document and now I can work the rest out.
Do you have plans to make this compatible with caching plugins? It’s a real pain that I have to get all this data out, turn it into graphs, then find a new polls plugin that works with supercache.
Thanks

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Where can I find my polls data?I found a huge list with all the possible answers, but it’s not split into the individual polls, so it’s impossible to work out which data applies to which poll in some circumstances. Is it possible to choose one poll and find the answers just to that one rather than have a table with every vote for every poll all bunched together?

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Where can I find my polls data?Basically, I found the database with all the different polls and the total votes for each poll, but can’t find where the total votes for each answer for each poll is.

In reply to: [WP-Polls] Where can I find my polls data?I still can’t find it – is there a path where all the information can be accessedd easily for all 20 of my polls? I need to get the stats for each answer for each poll.

In reply to: Editor is very slow when editing more complex articlesNo problem.
It’s resolved in that compactdrums and I have both written on the Yoaast support forum, and are awaiting an answer from the developer of the plugin.
Compactdrums also came up with a solution on that forum, which I’ll copy here in case anyone else has the same problem and finds this thread:

Ethan, I found a temporary fix. there is a plugin called WP Rollback that gives you the ability to roll back plugin versions. I rolled back Yoast SEO to 3.0.3 and that fixed it for now. At least this way we can continue working until the issue is resolved correctly.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Very slow typing in Editor after last updateThat’s great, thanks! Hopefully there will be an official response though. I can’t imagine we’re the only ones scratching our heads over this!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Very slow typing in Editor after last updateI have exactly the same issue, as does another wordpress user who was communicating with me about it on the www.remarpro.com forums until we discoved that the Yoast SEO plugin is definitely causing the lag.
Hopefully this can be resolved promptly.

In reply to: Editor is very slow when editing more complex articlesYes, that’s exactly the same for me! Massive lag editing long posts. I also deactivated the yoast plugin and it returned to normal.
I need to use yoast though, so do you have any ideas what to do about it, as I can’t just disable the plugin all day while I work?
