I’m sorry. It looks like maybe I wasn’t clear enough. We’ve disabled commenting completely. My client isn’t interested in getting the public’s opinions. We’re looking to eliminate spammy/threatening messages coming through the contact form. Is there another method?

Thank you very much. Upon inspection of the test site I have created for my client, as per your example, Google Chrome shows no cookies of any kind, which is great. If that changes when the real site is built and live, I’ll just nuke the GA JS and be done with it.

James – re-loaded WP in the manner you describe, but the problem still persists.

Phil – The error logs are all blank. No evidence of any kinds of error.

Okay, but this one is going to take a while … *chuckle*

Okay, I tried all of that, including going so far as to delete all the themes, except the 2014 “default” theme, and then deleting all the plugins. Nothing has worked to restore the site.

Well, the theme has been the same since I put the site up, but I’ll give this a try.

The fix described by James Huff probably will work. If it does, I’ll come back here and confirm. Uploading WordPreess should be fairly easy and I can help you, if you want, either by showing you how to do it or by uploading it to your site myself.

Bump … still looking for some advise.

That’s also part of the weirdness. That is the tail end of the URL for custom my 404 error page. But it won’t display the page.

Two years ago, this network worked. The server was set up correctly. Nothing has changed before upgrading to 3.6.1.

Btw, I just upgraded to 3.7.1 and my sub sites are still not accessible.
