But listen, if no one else has had this problem, don’t throw any more time at it on my account, I can live with a couple of ‘stuck’ pages, it’s not a deal breaker. No, it doesn’t. If I save the new draft and click on preview it takes me to a page which says ‘Auto Draft’.

Thanks, I tried to use the duplicator plug in, but I couldn’t see how it worked, so I used link fixer and broken link checker plugins and also used the w3c link checker online – but this seemed to throw up errors that neither of the plugins found. I’m afraid I have tried health check but will double check with it – and the disabling plugins suggestion. Would it help to see the w3c report on the broken pages?

Ah, I thought it was strange. No they appear to edit OK until I preview (this goes to a post page which is blank (no error message). If I press publish instead of preview – it appears to work without complaint, but when I check, none of my changes have been saved.
